After watching the Kane highlights, the most appealing thing is that he is a legitimate threat to score on the rush. This is a pretty rare quality to have and it adds a dimension that I do not think the Flames are particularly strong in.
He also appears to be a very difficult guy to move from the front of the net. If the Flames are serious about making a run in the west, adding the attributes that Kane brings make a lot of sense to approach the playoffs.
Now, the price might be too high or maybe the risk of locker room discord might be too great for it to make sense, but I think the skillset is very intriguing.

I don't think a trade around Bennett or Jankowski or even Ferland is crazy depending on the pieces coming back (Okposo, ROR as the centrepiece with salary retained). No idea what that might look like...
