Last I checked Kane had 5 points in his last 23 games and was called selfish by one of his teammates. Sounds like the perfect type of character guy this management group would love to spend all its assets on.....NOT

If anyone read the tea leaves from Conroy's interview on the fan. He said they weren't trading for a rental. They'll trade for a UFA but will negotiate an extension first before saying okay. They did it with widemans, they did it with others. I'm sure they'll do it for Kane.

Dont care who but Treliving adding a peice or two as a belief in this team, will boost the confidence of this team, if even until Smith is back) from what I've heard, at least a week and a half), similar to the stick throw.

Make the push and let's make the playoffs.

Kane with an extension for Fox would be a solid trade in my eyes.

Isn't Fox a NY kid anyway? And a third round pick? Seems like an easy trade to make both ways given the Flames depth on D

Kane is a consistent 20 goal scorer in the NHL. Fox hasn't played a game in the NHL.

I'd agree with that proposition

Fox for Kane with an unofficial agreement to re-sign

Though knowing these trades, it's usually not a clean 1 for 1. Except if you're the Oilers and looking to downgrade without picking up any futures in the process.

Kane is a rental with a bad attitude that risks ruining your team chemistry as much as he does to improve it. He's damaged goods.

Fox is an elite 20 year-old defensive prospect who might be NHL ready in as little as two seasons.

I fully expect Kane to play out the string for whatever team he plays for and then hit free agency. Guy loves attention and a player like that ain’t pre-signing anywhere. He’s gonna sign for the biggest $$$ and then instagram it probably.

I dont think this team is one piece away from making a stanley cup run unless that piece is kane... patrick kane. Please lets not trade away future assets right now to hopefully make the playoffs. I would rather see this season through with the team we have and then see what we can do at the draft. Obviously if there is a great deal available to get a guy like hoffman then go for it but do not want to give away significant assets for players like evander kane or tatar

I will find it hard to cheer for this team if Kane is on it. Too much drama. And if he comes...the way his play has fallen off, no way Fox is the cost.

Sure there is a stigma attached to the guy but he seems beloved by a good amount of fans in Buffalo and appears to have grown up some.

Makes you wonder why buffalo never tried to sign a young 23 year burgeoning power forward to a contract extension in the three years since they traded for him doesn’t it?
