Yes, it absolutely does. If you grab the progress bar and move the cursor back and forth, you can 100% clearly see the puck hit the stick and change directions. It's simple physics.

Lazar has a few flaws (actually only one major one) but soft isn't it.
He is very soft. He may throw the occasional hit every 9 or 10 games by he is soft on the puck and soft on his skates. He gets knocked off the puck or his feet seemingly every other shift.
Is the major one that he can't score, or is there something bigger than that?
Yup, scoring. The guy is fast, hits, decent defensively, gets to tough areas. He just has no luck around the net. I wonder what will happen when ken finally goes in, no matter how.

Just got home a half hour ago, sorry for the two hour wait.

Apparently Glass in nets again, Hawks have secured at least one point in the last 16 home games vs Flames. If they win tonight, that'll be 3 out of a possible 4 points against Calgary this month, so there's that.....
.... but pretty much a must win if Chicago expects to catch Flames.
Quote:
Must win, expecting them to empty the tank tonight. Can’t afford to fall 6 points behind a non playoff team.
Quote:
If they lose again, and #19 goes without a point, I shall make the poll "Who's more untradable, Toews or Seabrook?" sans the "Taco" option!
Quote:
Make it or break it time. If we don't win, we're essentially stuck hoping for extensive winning streaks to finish out the season if we want to get in. Possible, but not likely. We'd be closer to great lottery odds than a shot at the playoffs.
Quote:
I figured that would have happened last game against Calgary, and it didn't.
Quote:
Agreed, last game sealed it for me. I really think this team is going to finish somewhere from 4th worst to 8th worst.
Quote:
Lose tonight and might as well start selling.
Every loss is a nail in the coffin of this season. Hawks realistically need to pick up 43-44 pts to even have a shot at the last wild card spot.
30 games left
Basically need a .750 pts pct the rest of the way.
One more loss makes it 76%, two more losses makes it 78%, 3 more losses makes it 81%, and so on.
Quote:
Hawks vs Flames is always such a fun game to watch. Hoping for a win tonight, but should be entertaining as long as the game is close.
Quote:
Maybe we'll win 4-3 this time since we're at home.
Quote:
Just think if we beat Calgary on Saturday we’d be tied for points. If we win tonight we’d be one point outside the playoffs and ahead of Calgary
A most unflattering nickname

KITTY!!!!!!!!!!!

KITTY!
Gaudreau sets up Dougie
Quote:
This line again. Soon as they see Seabrook out there they instantly go with Gaudreau. Seabrook has a massive target on his back.
Line with Anisimov on the wing also looks terrible.
Quote:
Great job Seabrook.
Quote:
I walk away for a minute and they score, #### off.
Quote:
Jesus Christ Seabrook. Just ****ing bench the guy. Or buy him out. I'd rather just have dead money and not have to deal with this clown getting played PK minutes
Quote:
Its frigging hilarious that 90% of Flame shots come between the hashmarks

Toews with an awful turnover. Puck in the back of the net. **** right off.
Goalie Interference vs Gloved Puck
Quote:
That is a goal ,, Nothing Hartman did was GI
But we will get screwed as always
Quote:
I have no idea how this puck ends up in the net. I don't think the officials do either.
Quote:
I think it won't count. Looked like Hartman was kicking it too.
Quote:
War room looking at kicking first.
Quote:
Lol review before the review
Quote:
TRIPLE REVIEW WHAT
Quote:
Think Hartman kicked Smith in the junk.
Quote:
Not a single angle here shows him kicking puck
And now Calgary challenges for GI
Quote:
This is ****ing absurd. Why do you need multiple looks at this? Good goal. Move the **** on.
I don't even know what this is. No goal for goalie interference?
Quote:
Nice waste of ten minutes.
Quote:
WHY IN THE #### DOES THIS TAKE SO LONG?
Quote:
Lottery balls went against us this time. Hard to be mad because the system is just too ####ing ridiculous.
Quote:
Just get rid of video review please. Let the refs make the call right or wrong. Its ruined the NFL.
Quote:
Jesus ####ing Christ, it took 5 minutes to determine if it was a good goal, then another 5 to determine it wasn't a good goal
Gaudreau gets a good goal
Quote:
That's a high stick, so I'm fully prepared for this call to go against us
Edit: Glad I prepared for this
Quote:
No doubt this one will count.
Just because.
Quote:
Too high, no goal
Quote:
Please refs throw us a bone after that previous bull####
Quote:
That looks high
Should be no goal but NHL will **** us over
Quote:
...... what the actual #### how is that NOT high stick???
Quote:
2-1 refs. GG
Quote:
####!
0-2 on reviews tonight!
Quote:
So it took ten minutes to review the goalie interference and ten seconds to review that?
Quote:
I'm not even surprised anymore when reviews go against us.
Quote:
Seriously. Refs #### us. We #### ourselves. Not a single play we make actually looks dangerous. Such a depressing game
Mony with an empty net GWG somehow
Quote:
Nice hustle there #7

Sitting in section 309. This is the biggest #### show of a game.

This game pretty much sums up the season
and I agree the refs can go #### themselves

####ing hell, I hate empty net strategy.
But, I still love this team.
And I hate the negative nancys overwhelming thus sub.
Praise Hossa.
Quote:
I hate to say it but, it’s time to face the music this team won’t make the playoffs. They need to play the kids and make some moves.

#### the Zebras.
#### the Blues.
Detroit sucks.
I still love this team.
#### yeah, Kaner!
Quote:
Thanks Kane for making it clear that we win this if the refs don't hand it to the Flames.
Stupid Rival Team!

Calgary is going to win. I don't even need to watch the game to know that.

That's a high stick but because it was 4'6 Johnny, it'll count.
Quote:
That looked high to me. Settle down Jhonny lol. Looked like he was jerkin off on the bench.

The Hobbit reacts like he just scored the Cup winner.
Quote:
Garbage goal Monnnnny scores an EN.
Stems from yet another complete trash play by Toews. Chi was smart. Sucked 3 cups out of them and said "yeah, we will pay you through the roof even though we know you will regress slowly here"

It's one of his (many) flaws.
I'm sorry, that's a ridiculous take. An occasional hit every nine or ten games? Try a few hits every game, with limited ice time.
He knocks more players off the puck or their feet than the reverse IMO, but in any event, every player gets the wrong end of a puck battle or check every game.
He's been playing great lately. Sutter said so between periods, too.

I'm out of thanks, but just wanted to comment on how perfect this photo is right now.
Two hours later and people are still debating the Johnny tip in. Honestly, who gives a rat's ass which player got credit for the goal. We won! Be happy and go to bed, lol.

PP as usual gave me grief, but at least it's expected. It's surprising how few times the FWDs touch the puck on the PP, they actively avoid a low triangle situation.
There is no low triangle because the pkers see no threat from the point in Brodie so they collapse and take the low triangle away. They will let Brodie have the puck for the whole 2 mins because they know he is not a threat.
They really should use Hamilton in the same way they use Versteeg on the PP. I know the coaching staff has zero faith in Hamilton's defensive decision making and defending but he isnt much worse than Versteeg.

The big bad Hawks aren't that bad anymore...the Flames beat those big hawks nicely.
Not a perfect game but a win is a win. If they can add a bit of scoring they'd be a heck of a lot better though, even just find some consistency through the lineup. Just keep finding a way to win.
