The fact that it was an upward trajectory after the tip pretty much tells you it was contacted below the crossbar. It's just simple logic. Although the nhl believed nate Thompson shoulder high tip in game three was below.

and no, that logic is wrong. If SJ wins, they stay 4 points up on the Flames. Having the Avs win doesn't really change the WC race at all. But a SJ win would have materially impacted the division race.

Anyway, whatever. They made the comment not out of logic, but out of lazily not being particularly aware of the standings.
The teams I'm talking about are San Jose, Calgary, Dallas, Minnesota, Colorado, Anaheim, and Los Angeles. Why would I be talking about the Oilers?

I think you are misunderstanding my logic though too. The logic isn't wrong (and from your post it appears that we agree anyway) Obviously the difference at this point of the season is marginal, but it's better to keep San Jose within reach, so that 2nd and 3rd in the division are both reachable, rather than to have one of the chasing teams a little further behind. I believe that's what you were saying too.

Best game ever

Even though we ...were not that good

Bennett. oof.

But we all thought the goal on us was real and the goal we scored was illegal. So I came out the happiest guy in United Center. Great job boys! And great to see so many Calgary fans in the Chi!

Johnny tips it down. It then goes off glass’s shoulder and back up.

Does not matter as its below bar. And games over.

Nah doesn't contact Glass shoulder or blocker. JG does tip it, but the puck continues upward - albiet not as steep - trajectory. Puck would not have gone in without JG tip, but good goal still.

This shows it well

Good game, fun to watch and always enjoy a win.

PP as usual gave me grief, but at least it's expected. It's surprising how few times the FWDs touch the puck on the PP, they actively avoid a low triangle situation.

All in all, I'm holding out hope that they can force their way into the playoffs. Their game has been better than the results, especially after the first ~20 games, and they've done well without needing everybody 'clicking' all at once.

It honestly doesn't show much definitively. The way Gaudreau reacted on the bench following the review, confirms to me that it is his goal. If that is the best the NHL has, I can see why Stone was credited with the goal.

Bennett is worth investing some patience in.
At this point we need to stop saddling Brouwer with the anchor that is Bennett. He is playing muh better than Bennett has been lately, maybe Janko would perform better with an NFL veteran than someone with no hockey IQ and a knack for dumb penalties

Default Flames 3 - Blackhawks 2

Honestly does it really matter? We scored, we won, the team played well. Why continue on about who scored it?

No matter who gets credit, it was an important goal. What I like the most about this win is that they actually put a nail in the Hawks coffin for once instead of giving a struggling team some life. We need to continue to do that, we need to continue to play on the road like this.

Loved the win, loved the emotion, win 2 of a long streak!
GFG!!

Edit: waiting up for ATL!!

"Lazar is cottonelle soft"

Lol

Lazar has had one or two massive hits each game.
In fact today he put a guy cleanly into the hawks bench. Not on of those head over heals hit but he hit him so har he went ass first over the boards.

Yes, it absolutely does. If you grab the progress bar and move the cursor back and forth, you can 100% clearly see the puck hit the stick and change directions. It's simple physics.

Agreed. He has been skating well and engaging from the Tampa game forward. When he brings that kind of game he can be counted on to center line 1. Kudos to him.

Simple answer from me would be that when Johnny scores, and especially in successive games, his confidence grows and he tends to shoot more. Which is something he needs to do more of.

Lazar has a few flaws (actually only one major one) but soft isn't it.
