I would rather have John Tavares. Where was Monahan when we lost 6 straight?

Yay Flames win!

I thought Brodie had a great game other than the one error. Also what a great game for Monahan, he should have a hat trick. Too funny that even though he is 11th in the league in goals some posters don't consider him a #1 centre.

That series was lost because Bartkowski-Engelland were overplayed by our avant garde coach and Gibson(/Bernier) outplayed Elliott(/Johnson) by a country mile and because our offense lacks a second wave.

First line scored ZERO goals in 5on5 in the series if I remember correctly.

Dude. Give it a rest.

The Flames won a huge game and Monahan played fantastic. This kind of stuff is really embarrassing to read.

I really don't think people realize how important the ability to score goals is. No, Monahan is not Tavares. No, he's not the fastest skater. No, he doesn't hit guys as much as I would like. Sean Monahan can still play on my top line any day of the week. That's how good he is.

Yeah, that's right, because John Tavares has never been mired in a losing streak with the Islanders. Good call.

You are probably fine with being mediocre. But you don't win playoffs games with one dimensional first line center that does nothing in playoffs besides occasional power play goal. Now the fact monahan is celebrated here is actually good, I hope other GMs see it the same way and are willing to overpay. It's perfect time to sell when the price is high. Monahan is very similar to Oli Jokinen, seemingly high scoring center but if you look closer you can see he does nothing else and lacks crucial first line center skills.

If there's one thing here that is mediocre it's your posting.

The negativity is reaching pretty ridiculous levels though when a PGT after a good win is this terrible.
