You missed my overall point, but that's not surprising.

Drop in the bucket in reference to this effort, this result, the ugliness of this game isn't any indication of what we will be seeing come April. The players won't remember it, we as fans won't remember it. It was an ugly game with very few redeemable qualities, but it's not like they can't bounce back from this. But the sky is falling crowd seems to be back after a couple losses. A couple losses where the Flames got points in both of them.

In the Cory Sarich thread I broke down some numbers.

If we get the same level of goaltending that Hartley did in the 15/16 season, we would have at least 4 less wins so far.

With the point tonight that would move us 1 point ahead of Edmonton this year.

You have to say though. Its a cause for concern that the Flames have been terrible at home this season. They may have had what a couple dominate games at the dome so far this season?

Sure, but by the same token, the road record has been very encouraging.

Hahaha ya thats a real great point. If we had dog#### goaltending we wouldn’t be in a playoff position, like almost any team would be if they had that awful standard of goaltending. Real intuitive analysis here tonight.

This is the NHL, any team can beat any team
sure but your Anaheim game was played Oct 15 and the Ducks were missing their best player (Getzlaf). nice try with the stats though.

What makes you think the Flames will become so much better at home in April. Do you even know our record at home?

What does that matter? points are worth the same amount in october and january

It was a #### game...this idea that good teams can't lose to bad teams is ridiculous though

The Killer Bs did us in....Brouwer and Brodie....Eeek. GG does not want us to like Brouwer... Puts him in a position to fail. How are we going to trade Brodie if he showcases his talents like this. Smith, Lazar, and Kulak were the only decent players tonight. The top line had 2 two many passengers. You could tell that Janko lost his confidence after the pass to Brodie glanced off Hamonic's skate for the first goal. Time to break up the lines.

Paging Sam Bennett, Sam Bennett to the ice surface.

1 point in his last 10 games.

On pace for 31 points on the year. 3 less goals than this time last year after being switched to wing for the last ~25 games.

Okay, I can play that game too.

I'm just saying, collecting 16 of the last possible 18 points and they created zero separation from the pack. This is a game that the team needed to get ready for but they came out flat like usual. It may not be the end of the world but they can't keep handing points out to teams they should be beating.

18 minutes of Brouwer is too many minutes of Brouwer.

You are approaching Tinordi-esque levels.
