Gulutzan suggests Lazar in tonight and he will have an update on Jagr tomorrow. Starting to wonder if the update might suggest the “experiment” may soon come to an end. Just wondering. #Flames

Likely
Gaudreau Monahan Ferland
Tkachuk Backlund Brouwer
Bennett Jankowski Hathaway
Mangiapane Stajan Lazar

Would rather them try Mangiapane on 2nd with Backlund and Tkachuk and have Hrivik on instead of Stajan, but our coach is Glen Gulutzan

Roger has been known to reach before but that certainly is curious.

Locke -- that was always my take on it too.

I do think that one of the primary reasons we signed Jagr was his veteran leadership and experience for the playoffs, Treliving, Gulutzan and Jagr himself alluded to that at the very beginning so I doubt anything groundbreaking is coming.

Dammit Glen....let him play!

Jagr getting too frustrated with injuries and calling it quits?

His deployment? The man is tired and slow. Third or fourth line minutes were the most he seems capable of enduring.

I don't think he would complain about his deployment. He has had many opportunities. I can totally see him being dissapointed in his own game however. All in all he's had an incredible career and can't fault him for struggling at his age.

Jagr also said in his opening newser that he understood his role would probably be bottom six

I would be fine with Jagr being done.

Great guy and a legend, but he's been struggling to keep up. He needs to produce to be effective and he just doesn't have it after missing camp and having a nagging injury.

Put Jagr on waivers, and then send him to Stockton to mentor the young guys.

P.S. I'm kidding. GFG. Huge two points!!>!>!+!!=

If he's up for it I would keep him on staff as a coach or something.

I'm sure he understands WHY he is playing those roles in his brain, but I'm sure his heart wants him to contribute and to play more. I remember some tone of disappointment in some of those calgaryboy articles. He's a super competitive guy and if he sees that he isn't doing much out there, I imagine it could be really bugging him.
