Didn't that almost exact thing happen this season in the NHL? Can't remember exactly which teams but both goaltenders were waiting each other out after warmups?

*Edit: yeah, that ^, I mis-remembered the details I guess.

Ohhhh....didn't know that. Sorry

Still don't think it's a big deal, and goalies do have their own superstitious rituals that nobody understand.

I'm an Avs fan so clearly I'm biased, but Ducharme is an idiot. Makar's been one of the best Canadian players...but hey, keep playing a broken Clague and Fabbro, and giving Bean tons of ice time. That makes sense. Guy gets asked whether Makar will get more ice time next game if Mete is back, basically states outright that Makar will be the 7th.

He has a relentless motor, is a smart player, and is fantastic defensively. He also seems to have a good shot.

IMO, he will be a defensive specialist in the NHL though, not a lot of offensive finish or creativity (other than the shot).

(And yes, I know he is on the PP.)

I appreciate that next to no one will care but the Danes score 2 goals in last 34 seconds to win game 1 vs Belarus. I enjoy being able to watch Danish hockey on these rare occasions (although they have been garbage this tourney) so really hope they avoid relegation.

2-1 Sweden over Slovakia in the 3rd. Ruzicka has been benched by Slovakia, hasn't had a shift since Sweden's 2nd goal according to the announcers. They just had a 5 on 3 where he didn't play.

Looks like he's loaded with character and will make a great leader. So happy we managed to draft him, especially at #16.

Fox with two great plays there - creating a chance of a rush started by him at Center ice with a fake move. He had good hands want is a good skater, lots of smarts too... almost my fav D prospect not named Valimaki after his tourney; he’s just looked very composed to me and plays a mature game.

So what are the rules about a highstick being worthy of a double minor?

American is bleeding from the nose on the bench, refs rule its still a single penalty because they didn't see blood while on the ice?

I recall a Flame bleeding from a highstick last season that apparently didn't warrant a double either for some reason.

Did anyone else see the hit in the USA-RUS game? Dirty head hit by the Russian defender but as soon as Jones got back to his bench (not the dressing room) he had a huge grin on his face.

Disgraceful crowd for a Russia/US semi. Buffalo shouldn't be hosting again anytime soon.

Fox looks like he could QB our PP#1 right now and be an improvement.
