I saw lots at the Northland mall around 9 AM this morning.

It is still in stock on bestbuy's website:

Not sure if I just own too much crap already or what, but there is nothing I want this boxing day/week/month.

Wife wanted some new snowboard bindings so I grabbed some under armour crap at sport check. Not the greatest deal but saved about 20%.

Need a new tv but can’t afford it until I get a new job. Missing out on the deals unfortunately.

Boxing day, schmoxing day... Amazon is turning me into a lazy bum. I see no point in going out to shop for any consumer goods anymore. Lowest possible prices on virtually anything plus free one-day delivery to your door is simply unbeatable. Plus, free no-hassle returns. There's no way Amazon is making money doing this, but they are driving brick'n'mortar stores out of business in a close future, that's for sure.

The instant pot ultra is worth it for that price. I bought it when it came out for $200 and its a pretty useful appliance!

As much as Amazon does a lot, there's always a deal here and there that can only be had at other places.

Dualshock 4 Controller $40 @ TheSource
Chelsea boots 50% off @ Little Burgundy
New backpack 20% off @ SportChek

Is my instore haul for this season.

TV broke yesterday afternoon. Went to Costco and got a new one. Tv's were flying out of there yesterday. The LG OLED tv's looked great and we're selling fast. It was beyond what we needed to replace, but had I had more time I think I could have convinced myself that it was what we needed.

Been looking for a laptop for the GF and ended up pulling the trigger on this:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/stor...ot:overviewtab

Checks most of the boxes I wanted except for the dedicated graphics card, and decided that maybe she doesn't need one. For $600 it seemed like a worthy trade off.

So I gotta ask... what's the appeal of Google Home/Amazon Echo for everyone?

Christmas this year seems like the critical mass moment for these devices, I'm quite interested what feature/function of them appealed those of you who purchased such a device this year.

For me I am lazy and they should make my life easier. Now my wife always asks me to unlock door and turn on lights every morning for her day home to start. The goal is I say Alexa start my morning and magically the front lights are all on and door is unlocked and I can sleep for 5 more minutes before my kids wake up.

Also being able to pull up my security system videos on my TV when I need to check on kids should be nice rather than busting out the phone. Unfortunately Amazon doesn't care about Canada and every feature I actually wanted to get them for doesn't work currently

Minor conveniences I think. My buddy just said "Ok Google, start a Christmas song playlist" for his Christmas party and then it just started playing a nice variety of Christmas songs the entire night. It was really cool.

It slightly beats hooking up a phone/laptop to a speaker, then finding a Spotify playlist or something on youtube.

That's a great price. Too bad it's out of stock.

Tha $120 for the Ultra was a smokin deal. The Duo's and stuff are regularly available at $60-100.

Definitely convenience, weather, conversions of units, adding reminders to my calendar, starting a timer with messy hands while cooking, starting music without touching anything, sports scores, tuning in the news and radios, adjusting the temperature of my house, starting the plug in for my truck's block heater without stepping outside, turning on my espresso machine from bed so its preheated, making hands free shopping lists as you go so when you get to the store it has everything you've added over the days, I could really go on. Its quite a fun device
