Default Oh right.. Boxing Day is coming...

Best Buy flyer is up.

I might want a new sound bar to go with my new TV, or maybe regular speakers (floor or on stands) since I already have a decent amp for it.

I still need a laptop, since Black Friday got me nowhere on that front.

I think 2018 is the last year I don't have a 4k tv. Prices are really becoming attractive

I've been buying laptops from DellRefurbished.ca. If you don't mind a little cosmetic wear, you can get a good deal.

Hm that Instant Pot for $129 looks not bad.

Was thinking of bluetooth headphones, but having to charge them seems like it'd be a huge PITA

I’ve got bose QC 35’s. I wear them to and from work every day and planes And such. Charge maybe once a week. Plugs into same charger as my phone. Pretty convenient.

Walking to work? Those things are great but I'd scared to block sound from your surroundings like that but maybe that's just me. Awesome for work and planes though.

Noise cancelling headphones don’t work like that. They flip the phase of the persistent ambient noise, and add it to the source noise signal, which thereby reduces it, but they don’t block individual one off sounds.

I walk 80% of the way on paths/very quiet streets. Slight risk sure but listening to pod casts you can still hear cars come up behind you and such. Also I don't zig zag around while walking. In other words I am a little more cautious and conscience when wearing them.

Not Boxing day, but Best Buy has the Honeywell Lyric T5 smart thermostat on sale for $88 right now. You can claim the rebate from the government for up to $100, so it winds up being free.

On sale until tomorrow, so if you were thinking of getting a smart thermostat it wouldn't be a bad deal to jump on.

I'd want more like ear buds (but not ones that go into the ear canal), I have Bose SoundSport currently.

I bought a crap pair of wireless earbuds earlier this year to see how they were, I was worried they would fall out or feel loose. They feel amazing and I rarely charge them. Now to buy a pair that sounds good, lol.

I'm moving for a few months (may just be temporary) and my old 70 lbs plasma is probably not going to come with me because of the weight and my new place is an ancient building with stairs everywhere.

I'm looking for a new TV, 50"+ for boxing day. it seems strange but it seems difficult to find an HDR television. I walked through Costco today and only like 2/20 models had HDR.

Let me know if you find one! I have been trying to find a pair that not only has a decent battery, but also has good quality sound. Noise cancellation and microphone would be nice too!

the Vizio M and P series both have HDR, the Sony X900E and X850E do too (though it looks like they don't have the X900E in stock right now).

OLEDs are going to be very cheap, I'd go that route personally.

Not a boxing day sale but Costco.ca has the Hoover Quest 1000 on for $300 right now, in comparison Canadian Tire has it for $899.00. The review show its pretty good and is the top model for the Hoover robot vac's... I was looking at the Neato D3 but I pulled the trigger on this... my xmas present to myself along with the snow blower i bought today
