I "kinda" get what you're saying but that's still ridiculous in my eyes.

Flames are doing plenty right in the first 20. Why can't they keep it going?

The Oilers might be a part of the next outdoor game in Canada. Hot take, Friedman.

Because the Flames don't do that. They rest on their laurels after a period like that. Hope I am wrong tonight.

I’m ok with that if the plan is to have them work the concessions.

Has he done that before? Sure. Is it a constant thing where the same pattern happens? I would be surprised if that were actually true. I don't have the desire to do the homework on it but more than happy to be proven wrong.

I'll repeat: He did. But it's otherwise the same players, in the same positions, with the same breakout, attempted zone entry, and offensive zone strategy.

I can predict everything the Flames do once they begin moving the puck out of their end. No doubt opposing teams with professional scouts and coaches can as well.

Are those the only two choices?

One thing that looked different was a bit more hustle tenacity and hitting from the players. Need more, but it’s a start, can’t expect them to make sweeping changes given their tendency otherwise.

Oh look another PP! Let’s see how it goes!

Lol remember when the “corkscrew” was allowed to be a legitimate defensive play. It even earned a guy a roster spot on Canada’s worst Olympic hockey team since NHLers were allowed to participate

Flames are playing well but we have to start burying a few.

Hoo boy, that puck looked like it bounced behind Smith from the broadcast angle into the net, but it was behind the net. Sphincter definitely tightened on that one.

Gaudreau's first pass on zone entry usually goes to Monahan. That last PP it worked once and failed once. That's an area where Monahan can improve on or they can try someone else.

Ideally it should be someone great at handling the puck (fast hands).
