No complaints from this GG hater. Great game.

Have to disagree. I did not think that was an overly exciting game. Didn't think Andersen made many great saves. In position a lot and didn't see him stretch or scramble to get to the puck.

That 8 game sample size tells it all. Case closed. Flames are bad, we get it.

I have no problem with Ferland taking a shot in the shootout but he was fighting the puck all game. We likely win this game if Versteeg or Jagr are shooting. Johnny's break away percentage is poor but how do you not use him

My favourite part was after the shootout and Hughson said "and Frederik Anderson beats Backlund in the shootout" when clearly Backlund missed the net completely.

Not when he steals one, no. But when your goalie is responsible for many of your wins - as Smith was earlier in the season - its pretty obvious "winning" games this way was unsustainable.

I'm sorry I can't get excited about the flame's only solid effort in the past five games.

Lets not forget the Flames had a goal called back because the goal tender pushed the net off

Not even mad. Good game by the Flames. Could have went either way.

If Jagr needs time or the team feels it beneficial to 'shut him down' for a few weeks, an Eat Bread call up to play with Bennett and Jankowski is definitely worth considering.

Then go whine about it on one of the other negative threads, like the GG thread. Most people here agree they played great and deserved better, they just can't score goals.

I came into this game expecting a 6-2 loss with the d getting embarrassed again. Instead it was the best team d game of the year, where they still managed to greatly outshoot the leafs.

As a harsh criticiser of the flames play all year, even I can't help but be enthused with the team's play tonight.
Yeah I agree the d played a lot better. I thought the trade off was creating great offensive chances.

The shots were there no doubt I just didn't think there was a lot of dangerous ones in regulation.

That was a really fun game to watch. A point is a point at this juncture, I'll take the amount of fun I had tonight and look forward to tomorrow's game. Which I will miss.

I would have liked the Flames to beat TO especially after the tribute to the Grey Cup champions... Not cool. However, even Babcock knows he had no business even getting a point.

I think the way they played is important moving forward...got scored on and continued to dominate.

Puck doesn't bobble on JG or Janko wins it in OT and we are talking about their best game of the year

I dislike GG very much and want him gone, but this game, he was fine until that 4th shooter. Why Backlund when you have Jankowski, Ferland and Bennett on the bench? Both Janko and Bennett are playing very well, and hot, sigh, chalking it up to another GG's coaching mystery I'll never understand, like never utilize Stone's booming shot on PP.
