God, I hate deciding these things through a skills competition. Why not settle it with a fight? Or maybe a goal-line to goal-line race ... by the goaltenders? Sigh.
A well-played game and a well-deserved point.

I don't think CGY dominated that game. Yes they had a lot of shots but I didn't see many high percentage ones. In terms of great chances I thought it was pretty even, maybe a slight edge to CGY.
Not a lot of offensive flow. I'd like to see the d jump up more and get more entries be more creative
I guess they built the Leafs penalty box so small because there's no intent to call penalties on them. The 2 attendants in there were surprised a Leafs player actually came to squeeze in between them.
The Lazar thing has got to end. There's no way there isn't a more deserving player in Stockton. He's just... just... pointless out there.
And kudos to the drunk Flames fan who was actually working on a water. Hope you got that bottle unscrewed big guy!

In the last eight games, the flames are 0-2-2 against playoff teams and 2-2 against non-playoff teams. Seems pretty predictable that the flames would lose given they were playing a playoff calibre team!
Good teams find ways to win. The flames did not find a way to win!

lol you can't be serious, go look at some 3rd party stats
possession and scoring chances highly favor the Flames
So I agree the Flames played well and Anderson stole the game. However, he didn’t make a single save in the shootout. More than one quarter of shooters should get a shot on net in a breakaway contest. Maybe we still lose, but Jesus, make the goalie earn it.

I wish the NHL would hurry up and eliminate the SO, and just let 3 on 3 end the game. The whole game was entertaining for a low scoring affair, but the OT was awesome. The SO was a let down (and I would still say that even if JG had scored)

If the Flames play every game like that they are a 100+ point team and make the playoffs easily. That was complete domination with the exception of the last 5 minutes of the first. Lost to a great goaltending display.
Flames could really benefit from having another scoring threat up front. A healthy Jagr and Versteeg would probably provide enough compensation, but that's not the case currently.

they won a ####ing shootout...has nothing to do with the team
Meh. Disappointed but certainly not mad. Did everything but score. With goals so hard to come by I would love to see Mangiapane get a look if Jagr can't go. He's always looked great with Jankowski.

Wasn't it like 10-1 shots at one point in the 3rd period?
I came into this game expecting a 6-2 loss with the d getting embarrassed again. Instead it was the best team d game of the year, where they still managed to greatly outshoot the leafs.
As a harsh criticiser of the flames play all year, even I can't help but be enthused with the team's play tonight.
