Kind of a bs call. The refs are already trying to force a tie game. Why can't they just let them play and call the game as it is. It's like watching an EA NHL video game or something.

Wtf kind of call is that? I'm sure it's a rule but what an obscure and stupid rule.

No way. He threw his stick back at the puck. 100% a penalty.
He was facing the other way and turned around to throw his stick.

I don't see where that is tough luck. Johnny clearly threw the stick where he shouldn't have whether there was intent or not.

If you don't want to get called for throwing your stick at the puck,.don't throw your stick at the puck.

Yeah, sucks but you just can't toss your stick into the play like that. Can't really blame refs for that. Oh well, live and learn.

I've seen it called but only when the player obviously tossed the stick intentionally to break up a play.

Out of all the places his stick could land it lands on the puck after a dominant shift. I think that's bad luck but Johnny should know better

Usually only happens on breakaways, in which case it's a penalty shot.

The Flames' PK has looked much more aggressive in this game. I like it.

It's one thing to lament the missed calls, but are you suggesting the refs should ignore this one because of those?
Because that would be far far worse than simply missing a call.

Its rare but it does happen. I've seen it called against goalies a few times. I think Hasek might have a few of those.
