Cameron preaching sticking with it, which is usually good advice but not for the defensive zone.
There has been no improvement in this area. This is the team's achilles' heel and it could well sink the season.
What happened to Treliving? He used to be in the media discussing the 10 game segments. For two years now he's persona non grata.

What if they win the lottery and pick first?

Pretty sure they blocked you for saying the same thing over and over again...can't imagine that will change

The decline in structured play may have to do with the acquiescence to Mike Smith's puck skills.

Random thoughts:
Aside from admitting you made the initial mistake of hiring Glen, I just don’t see how firing him is a losing proposition for Treliving. Whoever you bring in, if you don’t make the playoffs, looks like we’re heading there anyways under Glen. If we get a new coach and we do make the playoffs, it looks like a shrewd move. If the new hire takes them deep into the playoffs you look like a genius. It will reflect so bad on the GM to give up a first and second round draft pick and stick with the coach who’s going to that pick into a top 10 pick for another team.
As for recycling previous coaches, Hitchcock, Carlyle, Julien, etc. we’re all previously fired from the teams they currently coach for. Sutter was never fired as Calgary’s coach. Not that that makes a huge bearing on the decision to rehire him, just an interesting note. Speaking of Darryl the last time he was hired mid season he took an underachieving team with a record of 16-14-4 and coached them to a record of 25-13-11. Went from 10th in the west up to 8th and then we all know what happened in the playoffs. Not saying we’d have the same end result, but it’s hard to imagine the team wouldn’t improve enough to at least make the playoffs.
We need you Darryl.

Sorry I don't want to watch Johnny play for Sutter and don't think it would work at all.

Then that's Jay Feaster trading the pick that became Sean Monahan for Ryan O'Reilly and then Coloarado claiming O'Reilly on re-entry waivers bad.
We all know how that worked out for Feaster.

I'll admit I've kind of had the same thoughts myself. The team doesn't even look recognizable to the one in the playoffs last year and the only major alteration to the team was in net.

I want Gulutzan gone as bad as the next guy, but as a season ticket holder there’s not a chance in hell I’d want/
support bringing Darryl Sutter back. No way I would continue to pay to Watch that boring ass hockey again.

i would be interested in reading whatever stats you could come up with for this position.
I feel like it is apparenty from the ol' 'eyeball test'. His puck moving ability is not a net benefit in my opinion.
