Roger : Concerns about lack of a better term, fragility; confidence of your club. Did you see that tonight?

GG: Nope no so much tonight, thought we had a couple breakdowns.

Third 10 game segment is 2-4-1 so far, 18 GF, 25 GA. Need three straight wins to get back to mediocrity.

Both players are better than the average 2nd round pick

Not the worst game to lose. The shot count and flow of the game felt all Flames. Really looked like the reverse of the Hartley playoff season where everything against was in the net and every opportunity the Flames had was walled by the goaltender.

But it's the trend the team takes that is much more concerning. The lack of defence structure or fight in the team certainly is problematic. The former especially since I thought we brought in Gulutzan as a coach with a sense of structure (comparing to Hartley's "collapse and give them the boards").

We knew the Flames were lucky to start off hot because Smith and Monahan/Gaudreau could carry the team. Now that they've returned to earth, they're showing little is backing that. I guess no lessons were learned because the points were there.

Not time to panic and drastically alter the team yet with take drastic measures (fire all coaches, trade important players) but it's veering towards a free fall. Someone with more intimate knowledge of the team needs to diagnose the correct response.

Something needs to give. Line changes, re-designing the defensive structure, call up Mangiapane, hire a hypnotist. Anything. The status quo has a fundamental problem.

That's what I keep saying. Those picks he traded may be our only saving grace. He has to have added pressure to win - after a year that was marred by the arena debacle it will be catastrophic for the organization to watch the Islanders use our pick at number five.

I think the guys on the back end have either tuned the coach out, or just not feeling confident in the program. The coach needs to show that he is trying and not doing things that impede progress. It's all about believing, little things are very important. If the coach doesn't take a time out when things are going south what does that tell the players? Sure one or two times might be fine but sooner or later it affects morale, Somethings not sitting right with the players right now, that loss to the oilers probably had a ripple effect and it's hard to get that cohesive energy back up.

We need to be taking those oiler games a lot more seriously.

The kicker is that GG is apparently a bright hockey mind.

You wouldn't know it by the gong show in the D zone. The Flames' D on paper is pretty damn good imo. If you can't get that group, with that talent level going, I think your days are numbered as a coach.

I just hope Treliving does something before the season is lost.

And would it kill GG to call a damn timeout or a goaltending change.

Cameron says the Flyers had puck luck. That is all. Leafs on Wednesday and Habs Thursday. This week is going to be ugly.

Only logical explanation is that the top 4 D want to switch the parings and are playing this bad to force Glens hand

Gio and Brodie want to be reunited because it feels so good

Dougie wants to play with his brother (no one told him Freddie plays forward)

Hamomic is still trying to figure out how to get closer to Winterpeg

And as the bottom pairing no one listens to Stone and Kulak so they just play their game and wonder who they have to kill or sleep with to get PP time

If GG gets fired do all the people who blocked me for saying he should be fired have to unblock me?

BT needs to admit to his mistake and fire GG. If he doesn't we are in trouble.
