Fire up the suicide booth gif. It's going to suck to be a Flames fan in Ontario tomorrow.

Pathetic attempt with the goalie pulled. Flames look like they just want to go home and go to sleep.

Babcock coached teams are so frustrating to play against.

Well the players get to go back to the room and chat. No worries of GG going in there and holding them accountable for their lack of effort

What a defensive play by Johnny with the net empty. First guy back into the leaf zone right after. He's an animal.

If Treliving believes he has assembled a great team, and the team is merely being good, then something has to change.

It was the league, I believe.

But hey, might as well keep bashing. Haven't had enough of that tonight.

Two junk goals for the Leafs, Flames didn’t get those bounces.
Did the 4th play in the 3rd?

To spell it out for ya, the Leafs coach came into the game watching tapes of our team (and just so you know I am making an educated guess here) and told his team what he says and what to expect. Thus (and I'm really trying to help you out here) we can say that the leafs came in with a game plan against us and a plan of which to conduct themselves in a manner to succeed. Our coach did not, it is widely known he likes to stick to his system through good and bad. Secondly, tell me, using your eye test if the flames looked like they are playing to their potential today? Did they look ready to play?
You think our coach did no video prep?
Sorry man that is not a realistic interpretation. Utter hyperbole.

Perhaps that's part of the problem. Unrealistic expectations.
I view the Flames very similarly to most of the NHL - a good but not great team with some great pieces and some flaws.
Welcome to the salary cap era.
A lot of it comes down to who executes the best and how well the parts fit together.
How many truly complete teams are there in the league? It is a pile of mediocritiy where virtually any night any team can beat the other.
On paper the Flames are certainly not materially better than most of the other teams.
