No, Landeskog will not get half of 23 games. 5 at most.

Clearly I wasn't being serious. However, I wish the league would take these types of plays more seriously. That part I meant.

It wasn't announced as an in-person hearing, so it can't be more than 5 games.
Considering he got 3 games just over 100 games ago for a crosscheck to the head, you'd think it has to be 5 this time around.

I'm very pessimistic when it comes to league cracking down on this kind of stuff. I'll say maybe one game. Or a fine. Prove me wrong, NHL.

Well it didn't get much publicity which we know is the only factor in suspensions.
So this will be 1 game because he's a repeat offender

Don’t see why he wouldn’t get at least 3, matching last years suspension.

The fact he didn’t get a 5 minute major last night is ridiculous. NHL reffing at its finest again. Also, if you don’t think there’s an NHL mandate to keep close games close, exhibit A: two guys waterskiing behind Tkachuk as he goes for the empty net, both refs looking right at it, no call.

Exactly. That was the easiest major to call. Then again they ignored the clear hold on him at the end with the empty net.

Whatever the suspension that was ugly. Easily could've dislocated his jaw. Tkachuk was very lucky to be all right

Didn't get to watch the game, was it the usual incompetent reffing? I don't know how they get away with doing their job so badly, most people would get fired for being so lousy at their job.

Landeskog has always been a bit of a cheap shot artist, so I'm not totally surprised. Probably deserves 3 games.
Edit* Wait, is it in person? Is that a minimum of 5 games or something?

The non-call on Tkachuk breaking for the empty net was pretty bad miss. The test of the game was the usual.
Calls missed both ways.

I don’t care about the fine nearly as much as the fact the official right there felt it was only worthy of a two minute minor. It’s really hard to take the NHL seriously in regards to player safety when their officiating crews are still stuck in the Stone Age.
