Jagr looked dangerous today. Too bad he didn't manage to score a goal.
I'm glad Ferland isn't hurt. Phew.

Given the way the group played tonight I have no issue with that. Problem is that Kulak will pay the price and he's not the guy that has been the issue with this group. I would be tempted to bench Stone for a night for that giveaway as that was amateur hour stuff.

I'd give Brodie a night off. That's two straight games he's made a boneheaded turnover that results in a goal.

As bad as it seems, take a stroll through hf oilers and it’ll make you appreciate where we are at. Guys are even praising Mony and Johny over Drai and McD
My favourite line:
Chiarelli took one of the most primo jobs in hockey and burned through assets like me drunk at McDonalds.

Have to give some credit to the Stars also. They have a good team, they knew what they were doing and they worked hard all night for that win.
Positives, we still could have had this one despite all that.
Negatives, we really should have had this one with that late lead. At least get a damned point.

Yikes. Smith and Gaudreau are carrying this team. Offensive depth will be our kryptonite this season if things don't change.
Lines changes be damned, there is no excuse for that combo of players (Bottom pairing, Brouwer & co) to be out there against Seguin and Spezza on that GWG will six minutes left.

On the 5th goal I watched thinking, who the hell was the flat footed forward waiting for the puck? And who was the other forward gliding through rather than skating?
It came as No surprise it was Brouwer and Versteeg.

I would have no issue with that but that's a bold move that I don't think Gulutzan is capable of. Rotating the bottom guys in and out isn't preaching accountability but bench one of the regulars and that will get the attention of players.

Up by 1 and the Flames have an extended 5-on-3 to kill.
Flames with a great PK to survive, should have iced it right there. Especially when Bennett drove the net with a Star waterskiing behind.
Again, given how our D played I don't think we deserved to win. But that's a penalty no matter what the situation, and the refs decided to let everything go while Dallas trailed late. Pathetic.

Brodie and Bennett for Kane and McCabe. The top line will unfortunately take a few nights off which at the moment will ne automatic losses.

The "give established top 6 forward/top 4 Dman a night off" is a bit of a fan myth. It rarely happens.

Most overrated D in the league. It's a fire drill every game in our own end. Brodie and Hamilton are putrid defensively, and Hamonic... I remember him being a lot better than this in NY. Get some guys in here who can actually play in there own end.
