Except for if they hold a lead going into the third period... They’re amazing at that.

Gio-Brodie
Kulak-Hamonic
Stone-Hamilton

I wanna see it. Especially left side Stone, where he'll just load up that ridiculously nice shot of his.

That's not the indictment of Hamilton you think it is, compared to Brodie - think of just the last two games (bad play last minute in the first, bad play to end the last game).

We have to lead the league in unnecessary brainfarts by defensemen. Way too many sloppy mistakes night in and night out coming from the back end. It's a serious problem.

What happened to Ferland? Must’ve missed it.

Overall they aren't playing badly. But they've made three critical mistakes, that all wound up behind Smith.

Goal one was on Smith
Goal two was on Backlund
Goal three was on Hamilton

I am starting to think Smith just likes lots of shots. He'd just rather face 40+ per game than have a sleeper 25 shot night. Probably keeps him engaged or something...

Having this many offensive D-man could work under a different system but we're really wasting cap space with way we play.

If we're going to play a rigid system that doesn't allow puck moving defenseman to flourish than reduce our defense cap hit and acquire another star forward using Brodie or Hamilton.

And that's not another pessimistic shot at Glen Gulutzen, it's just the reality of the make up of our team vs how he coaches. We're not a scoring threat outside our top line, and our defensemen aren't able to contribute their worth, let's make a swap.

The best team aren't afraid to make major swaps like that to tinker their teams into contenders.

Goal one was a combination of Smith, Brodie and Hamilton. Plus no forwards back to help.
