That chance the Caps had a minute ago included one of the easiest interference calls I've seen, the Cap literally picked and pushed a Flame to the ice. No idea how that wasn't called.

To people saying this is a lucky hot streak for Gaudreau, I only agree that a point streak won't go forever.

The eye test says if there is any luck to his play this season it's that MORE goals haven't gone in for him. He's clearly taken another huge step in development this season towards being a star in this league.

Monahan is now tied for 15th overall in points.

Have never watched a player as exciting as Gaudreau on the Flames. What a great player and a treat to watch.

Default Nov 20 2017 - FLAMS @ CRAPITALS Go Flams!!

As Kent Wilson just pointed out on Twitter, Brodie was stuck on the ice for what seemed like an incredibly long shift. It’s huge for a guy to be able to do that in the 2nd period (long change).

As much as people are being critical of him right now, he’s still good - just not playing up to what we know he can.

A couple great saves by Smith after a period where he basically no work. That is always very impressive to me. I feel that one of the weak spots in many of our games has been the last few minutes of the periods. It is imperative we come out of this period ahead after out playing the caps by such a wide margin.

Reason is probably because it was Ovi on Tkachuk if I could guess

I've never seen someone turn so fast like that. Against most goalies that's a goal.

We have been fantastic tonight. Every single player has shown up to battle and play

I think we are the real deal this year I honestly do

It was on Tkachuk. Even though he draws a lot of penalties, It's Ovechkin on Tkachuk. Ovechkin gets the benefit of the doubt, as does Jagr.

We've all seen Tkachuk get reputation calls, well that was a reputation non-call

Caps haven't had a lot in this period, but the shots they have had are top notch. Smith up to the challenge. So nice to have a strong net presence finally.

Crazy to think teams are specifically setting up their game plans to shut down #13 and he has put up 5 straight multipoint games.

Last year the way you shut down johnny was by slashing the #### out of him, now that you can't there's almost no answer.
