I still think Gillies should have been the sink or swim backup this season. Lack has sucked for a long time now.

You really see how effective a coach is when his team is losing.

Yay, no first rounder this year!
The Flames have beaten Pittsburgh, Washington, St. Louis, New Jersey, and Los Angeles already this year, as well as this same Detroit team. This is a very good team. It's not Treliving's fault whatsoever.

And you are loving every minute of this, we know. The Flames are having a bad night and the board is grumpy, oh look who pops in...

First time in years that I'm voluntarily turning the game off. It's not our night.

Some will tell you Eddie Lacks. Others will tell you that Brodie Blows.

And it wasn't really a two on one chance. Not unless both he and his linemate were somehow going to blow by the defenders. Brouwer has been one of the better Flames tonight (low bar).

Brodie is still 2nd in TOI. I'm not a fan of all the GG bashing, but ... come on, man.

I don't think a lot of people here understand what stoppable shots are.

Lack wasn't hung out to dry, but he wasn't letting in softies either. He looked like a backup goalie in his second start in 18 games.

Detroit is simply a fast team and the Flames are a team whose best skaters seem to be explicitly instructed to rarely use their speed.

I hope he learns this soon. Lack should have been done after 3.

GG has so much loyalty it often costs the team..

Im sure Lack will be starting the next game even if Gillis plays well.

Goaltender actually making a save after the defense breaks down.
