Yes, Lazar centering that line has made an immediate impact. Hope GG keeps it that way for now.

that struck me about last night's game the most. The player's with the most impact, other than Jagr who had 2 points, were all flames picks.
Gaudreau: 3pts, +3
Backlund: 2pts, +2
Monahan: 2pts, +2
Kulak: 2pts, +2
Ferland: 1pt, +3
Tkachuk: 1pt, +1
Bennett: 1pt, +1
Jankowski: 1pt, +1
Not to mention Brodie/Andersson were also +1/+2 respectively.

4. Bartkowski continues to eat popcorn in the press box.
And coaching/management will consider it a successful trial run of the organizational depth being able to handle an injury to a top 4 right handed defenseman.

I think the bigger question is who leaves next year to make room for Andersson?
Hamilton?
Hamonic?
Stone?
The automatic answer is Stone, but seeing how well he has performed as a #4, plus his contract and Hamonic's value...Hamonic may be the odd man out. Could likely recoup a first + for him.
Similar questions may arise next year with Fox, Valimaki and Kylington pushing...

Based on how Treliving has managed the last few years, I'd bet on none of the above. He definitely errs on the side of over-ripening prospects in the AHL, and we've been really lucky with injuries the last few years. Andersson has looked good but he's still got parts of his game he can work on in the minors for another year or two if our healthy streak continues. My prediction would be Andersson plays ~20-30 games each of the next 2 years, then forces his way onto the roster like Kulak has this year and we trade one of Stone/Hamonic in the last year of their deals.

Jagr's first goal as a Flame was the 766th of his career.
TJ Brodie wore 66 when he first broke into the league. 66 was worn by Mario Lemieux and Josh Ho Sang.
Jaromir Jagr won two cups with Mario Lemieux. He has never played with Josh Ho Sang.
TJ Brodie now wears #7.

If Jaromir Jagr scores a goal in the Flames' game on March 5, 2018, he will have scored a goal 10,000 days after his first one. What team do the Flames play against on March 5? The Pittsburgh Penguins.

Hamonic back to NYI at the deadline for all of our draft picks back and David Putney because Treliving feels like it.

I know it's dumb to think this way when we were so lucky to get Hamilton but you have to give to take. I wouldn't be adverse to dealing Hamilton for another star forward. Part of going "all in" on defense is that we could one day parlay that into forward help if needed.
Gio - Brodie
Stone - Hamonic
Kulak - Anderson
Then trade Hamilton for Mitch Marner. This would be contingent on Anderson getting some more exposure throughout the season and proving to be an NHL defenseman, then making this trade closer to the trade deadline.
Personally I think something like this may be needed to take that next step into contender status. We simply need another star forward threat to make that jump, imo.
