Some really great performances last night were overshadowed by our resident ass handler. Jankowski and Jagr were awesome together. I want Jagr to take the big kid under his wing and teach him how to use that big frame and all that skill he displays from time-to-time. I think Jankowski is a player that just needs a little bit of confidence to blossom. Bartkowski had his best game of the season. He was barely noticeable. Except for that bucket of popcorn he spill on section 108 from the press box, and the soda he spilled down the front of his shirt, it was a pretty uneventful night for the worst player in the NHL. Andersson and Kulak played spot duty, but they were the Flames best pair on the evening. Jagr looked like a kid at times out there, especially after his goal. Johnny Hockey breathed some life into those old man's legs. Pretty good game.

Johnny was absolutely lights out again tonight, he's really taken it up a notch this season! Thought the 3rd line played well and thought the team as a whole played one of the better games of the year.
Aside from the 3rd period flurry from Detroit I was really happy with the way the guys were skating, not as much standing around and waiting for pucks.

This kid couldn’t make a AAA team in his minor midget year. HE had to play for St Catharines who where the worst rated team in Ontario that year. He didn’t get drafted that year to the OHL.
He went to a prep school in Quebec the following year.
He grew 6” -- Got drafted out of prep school 22nd 1st round . Great story. Great kid Great family

Did anyone else catch Gaudreau and Jagr on the bench after the Jagr goal? Gaudreau couldn't stop smiling while Jagr couldn't breathe.

Hahahaha, Steve. I think I needed a "Not Safe for Keyboard" warning! That was slightly awkward to see but hilarious!
Just watched the highlights at work, I had to wake up at 5am and it was 1130 when the second started so I konked out at 3-0. What a game though, the JG/Jagr hug gives me the feels. Woot!

What a great game, best game of the year for entertainment value I think.

#13 is on pace for 113 points!
Just behind Stamkos and Kucherov, without the luxury of playing with Stamkos or Kucherov.

Kulak/Andersson pairing looked pretty decent all night. I think it helps that they played as a pair for the latter part of the season wtih the Heat.
Will be interesting how they handle personnel once Hamonic returns.

I think it will be very simple.
1. Andersson goes back to Stockton, plays big minutes, continues to develop.
2. Hamonic returns to 2nd pair with Brodie.
3. Stone returns to 3rd pair with Kulak.
4. Bartkowski continues to eat popcorn in the press box.
And coaching/management will consider it a successful trial run of the organizational depth being able to handle an injury to a top 4 right handed defenseman.
