I talked to Kelly Hrudey tonight, and told him the story in as concise a manner as possible (there was a large line up I felt bad talking for too long). He thought it was great, as did Kirstie Maclellan (sp?) who was signing books with him.

He said to take it to Ryan Leslie. I spent a solid 3-5 minutes looking for any contact info and gave up.

Seems like it's best if someone reaches out on twitter maybe.

Here's the rub, or two. That reporter from Global has done two stories about Petr; I feel it's like cheating not to contact him and give him the first chance at this story. Although a quick look at Global's website does not show him. I cannot at the moment remember his name!

Second rub. For me I care not one whit re publicity. Maybe this is a newsworthy thing, maybe the Flames might do something, etc. But I really want no part of it. So I happily will hand off this pursuit to anyone who has the interest or time.

I have received two PM's with good leads on Flames contacts. I will share with whoever wants to go with it.

Edit: If the media contacted is that crime reporter from Global, then I am in.

Just popping in here to say express how awesome everyone's been in this thread, and the community as a whole.

March 11 and 16 tickets are taken care of. March 11 CB and Aeneas will join Zuluking and I in section 110 to spend the evening yelling at Halak, whose country you can see within a walk from CB's flat.

For March 16 I have at least a pair, and might be able to get 4. If I can get the other pair I'd offer them up to those who would like to sit with CB "The World's Most Intense Flames Fan". If there is interest we could raffle the pair off. Prior to that game, CB will teach you how to say "Hertl you suck, go back to Praha" in Czech.

The first hockey they showed he assisted on Wolves first goal.
The second bit they showed he got burned on D, the goalie made two saves third shot went in. My D son? No where in sight.

There will be punishment for that!

They won 5-2 out shot the opponent 31-16.

I shouldn't be on that list as I haven't actually done anything other than suggest that I would make this below post (and checked that it would be ok with them if I did).

I asked Aeneas if the plan was just for calgaryboy to come, or if this was trying to get him over with his wife and daughter. Aeneas said they'd only really budgeted for calgaryboy, although he'd always wanted to try to find a way for the whole family to come because of how absolutely amazing they all are. Personally, I thought that seems like a long time to be away from my family even for such a neat thing.

I told Aeneas that given the response to this thread, my guess was there are probably enough people who would also want to contribute that we could try to (without any promises of course) target enough for 3 plane tickets instead of 1 (knowing of course calgaryboy who is already uncomfortable with this whole thing would probably think this is totally unacceptable and say no). I don't know calgaryboy, or Aeneas for that matter, but honestly this is one of my favourite things I've ever seen on the internet and thought I would toss this out there as my two cents on a "stretch goal" idea. But seriously, I shouldn't be on that list!

Thats an admirable goal to get all 3 here, I'll discuss it with Aeneas, first of all to make sure that its even possible, I have no idea what kind of school/work commitments his wife and daughter might have, but then we'd really have to ramp this up a few notches. Not to mention, Aeneas is contributing huge to this whole endeavour by providing food, accommodation and travel, we have to be sure we can add 2 people to that. Its a lot to ask, but its an admirable idea.

I'm going to eventually amend Aeneas' list somewhat, but I wanted to advise people that due to huge volume of PMs yesterday (seriously, the 60 seconds between PMs was a significant restriction for me yesterday) I just want to make sure I didnt miss replying to anyone.

If I didnt reply to you please fire me another PM now that its somewhat calmer or if I did reply to you and you didnt send me any money...no time like the present.

Also, if you do not want your name added to Aeneas' 'Forever a Czech Flame Fan' list, please let me know.

Guys, 1 air ticket is more than enough, besides that, it would be impossible for my wife to come in spring /working duties/ and my daughter is attending 3rd year of basic school, pretty important one, 14 days out of school would also not be a good idea. So thank you, youre all beyond awesome, but 1 air ticket and everything around it is more than enough! Hope you understand...

Oh yeah, like I said, it would be great, but a lot of us on here have families and we all know and understand the difficulties and logistics of planning family vacations.
