Wow, this is a good story if I've ever seen one. CP certainly is a nice place! Hope you get to see a formidable team burning up the standings, with Jagr scoring the crap out of every opponent by the time you get there calgaryboy!
I don't post much anymore (but still lurk many times each day!) but had to log in to say how amazing this forum/community is. I post/lurk on a few other forums and something like what Aeneas and Locke have arranged here would be laughably unthinkable on those forums.

Theres lots of credit (blame?) to go around here, we should acknowledge FurnaceFace and killer_carlson as well as everyone who has contributed their time, money and tickets and even just their positivity. Having people happy about a cause you're working for makes that work all the easier.
All I'm doing is collecting money. It plays to my strengths, and at some point we're going to try and thank those who have generously donated.
I know Aeneas doesnt like the limelight or to take credit for things so you may assign me that credit (blame if we screw this up) and I'll see to it that he receives his appropriate portion.
As of the moment though its a tad premature as we're still working and presumptuous to accept credit prior to the accomplishment of the task at hand.

I am doing a favour for a CPer tonight (Fork! Will it never end!)
I am picking up a Hrudey book and getting it signed.
If there is opportunity I will try to tell Hrudey this story.
As mentioned earlier in the thread, my son is first year Atom and his team made the final of breakfast television. Well, we won the voting and got the best slot I guess. He will play on TV at 0730 tomorrow at Winsport.
So watch the future of the Flames, my son on Breakfast TV...whatever that is.
Normally he is #19, but I guess they will wear special jerseys! The benefit to that is after the game I can tell you he was whatever number I want to.
