The forwards need to come back more and help the defence. The gap between them is too large IMO.

It was a bad play. There, I criticized him. What more are you looking for?
He's a offensive playmaker and takes chances and sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Crap happens.
This whole "unacceptable" notion is funny to me. If it's unacceptable, how you do you want him held accountable? Benching? How does that serve the best interest of the team?
It sucks that he made a bad play but sometimes crap happens.

The Flames have no effective forecheck. Just a lazy fly by.

It’s probably because I choose to not post when the team plays like crap. But I enjoy hockey and I love the Flames. My life is too full to expend much energy getting worked up about something as meaningless as a hockey game. I don’t have time to be negative about this.

Its like criticizing Smith...sure he could have made a save but he has money in the bank.
Its not like Johnny has cost the Flames more than he helps them...I'm sure he will be shown the video and hopefully learn from it.

It has to be a lot harder to get points out of the Saddledome than it is, simply put. Normally I'd be confident they can work their way up to it but last year they weren't dominant at home either outside a month or two.
If the Sutter teams did one thing well, it was that they made the dome a daunting place to play and cleaned up at home. 30 wins was the expectation for a few years there. Should be the same in this flames 'window' if they want to be competitive. They are not even close to on track for that so far.

I'm looking for some balance in terms of who get criticized after these losses. Easy to blame the coach and guys like Brouwer and Stajan but teams win and lose on the backs of their best players so perhaps lets start looking in their direction a little more

Bennett and Gaudreau were awful on the tying goal. Bennett more so.
Gaudreau was the goat on the go ahead goal. Trying to be too cute. And Backlund also had a rare bad game.

I fell asleep after the first period, just finished catching up.
Flames controlled the play for the majority of the game, taking advantage of a depleted Wild squad that had played the night before.
I definitely think thought they would take this one, after watching all the soft defensive plays the Wild made in their own zone.
Need help on offense (this is not a recording). It's time to bring Jankowski up.

Johnny has a number of bad habits that he has yet to show he is learning to improve
But I've said my piece.

He has been in on more than 50% of their scoring...sorry but that gives the guy some leeway and we aren't all gonna freak out about one bad play
I agree about Brouwer and Stajan...but there are guys on this team making major mistakes and adding nothing positive.

The Flames do not need help on offense. They need help on defence from the forwards.

It bugs me when guys like Spurgeon are given all the time in the world to tee up their shot. We seem so slow at getting back in our own end and more focused on waiting for the breakout passes. It's like the start of last season all over again. Only difference is the goaltending.
This would be the slogan in my dressing room if I was the coach..
Forecheck - Backcheck = Paycheck

I agree Gaudreau had a bad game with not enough scoring chances to make up for his giveaways. He always seems to respond after a sub par game though.
Oh and how hot is Monahan? He has such amazing offensive instincts to always be in the right place to score.

This team under Gullet has no identity. They play for easy wins they don't gut it out. Do they even block shots, hard fore check against the D, crash the net, battle out front, cover the point.
They flat out ignore those aspects of hockey. That is directly a result of Gullet.
