Default Flames lay another egg. Drop 4-2 to the Wild

Do you never have a negative thought about the Flames? Seriously I don’t remember a single one as long as I’ve been on this board. Patience of a saint you have

On a positive note the Coilers are still below us in the standings.

Mistakes like that from your best players are inexcusable. Yet 13 pretty much escapes criticism
He's currently over a point per game. You take the good with the bad.

Heck, we're struggling a bit and we're still doubled up on them.

Lol Jagr is hilarious. He's so serious, it's no wonder he was such a great player.

Wasn't the worst game, team looked ok to good for the majority of it ... One thing I have noticed is turnovers are a major problem for this team. They really need to get their asses in gear to get this fixed otherwise it's going to cost them more games.

Yeah the top players namely gaudreau have GOT to stop the floaters through the middle to nobody. Johnny is throwing two or three errant pucks through the middle every game it seems. He's gotta learn to hang on to the puck when there isn't a clear play to be made. Hanging on to the puck and skating it a way from danger is something these players could do more in the d zone, rather than these hot potato plays they make sometimes. At least if it's picked off while youre skating with it you're still not teeing it up for them.

Nope not good enough. Not in those key moments where the game is in the balance.

A very disappointing result against an injured Wild team playing back to back. I expected a win especially with the lead in the third.

It was a good game and the Flames played well enough to win, but a lack of goals, especially in the first, and two bad mistakes in the third proved costly.

Okay. Then bench him. Is that your solution? Makes zero sense.

Trade him? Smack him around a little? Kick him in the junk?

Sometimes you need to accept that players, even the best ones make mistakes.

Fair point.

I still feel Gaudreau is the driver of the entire offence. Credit to Monahan on having the skills to be in the right spots and the hands to finish.

No penalty tonight so that is an improvement. He was also much more aggressive, I thought.

Demand that he be better. Or if he can't be how do you put him out there in key moments?
But my point was that people continue to blast GG while Johnny gets away Scott free even though he made the critical bad play in the game.

And your defense of him further confirms that. People have a hard time criticizing Johnny
