This is one of those incidents that's actually worse if you watch the footage. Most times it provides some context and makes it seem not as bad.

When you read the headlines "Newton laughs at female reporter" it's easy to think big deal. Athletes and coaches are frequently quite mean to reporters, often justifiably so, for their stupid inane questions.

In this case Newton really and truly comes across as a total condescending prick who is genuinely surprised that a woman would want to talk about "routes". His demeanor makes the quote itself seem even worse.

Good. The guy is 28 years old and still acts like he's 18. The pro-Cam camp has dug up some racist tweets on Rodrigue. Not a great look for everyone involved.

Yikes. Still shouldn't let him off the hook for being sexist but wouldn't be surprised if she loses her credentials over this.

It was three years ago but still you would think aspiring media people would be much more tactful and considerate of what they are tweeting or posting in Facebook, etc.

Unfortunately, people are continuing to have a hard time with this "jokes with friends online are jokes with everybody" thing.

Seems like such an important season for Winston and Mariota, with Mariota seemingly taking steps forward while Winston seems very inconsistent on a week-to-week basis

They cut Matt Bryant several years ago, and never got anyone close to as good. When you talk about value a great kicker is a significant asset, worth a couple wins a year really.

Bucs should trade a couple first rounders for Gostkowski. He's 34 in January so he's still got a good 10 years left. Not any more insane than trading up for Aguayo or Nick Folk or whatever other awful kicker they sign next. Maybe they'll bring Aguayo back lol.

I was hoping the Bucs got the onside kick so they would get a chance for the game winning FG instead of trying for the TD, just to see Folk make it and then get cut the next day anyway. Would probably be an NFL first I would guess.

Not that I think they're going to win the Super Bowl but the Eagles at 25 to 1 is terrific value at this point in the season.
