game plan should be not to gift turn overs when Mcdavid is on the ice.
Disappointing the Flames cant score though against lines 2-4

Mike Smith played great, kept it from being a blowout.
Not sure if Edmonton has 6 Giordano's, but the Flames made them look real good tonight.

Not much he can do when the top line is having a poor possession game. The Oilers can easily use last change to keep McDavid away from the 3M line. So it's either the top line or a line with Brouwer dragging them down to face McDavid.
This is why the Flames desperately need Jagr. He balances out that third line and gives GG a lot more options to match lines on the road.

the flames havent really shown up tonight. theyre beating themselves. Mcdavid is going to dominate, but hes only playing 20 minutes a night. that leaves 40 minutes away from mcdavid where the flames effort has been dissapointing
