What a shining light Smith has been in this game. We've seen the rest of this team be able to get into a groove and get it together. I don't see us losing many games because of goaltending.

I'll never understand why they don't make better use of the pre-season. at least try and get the top 2 lines practicing and playing together. We all knew what the top two lines were back to last season, why change things around and scratch them a bunch of preseason games just to put them back together for game 1?

Outside of Bennett, Hamilton and Bodie the Flames don't have the wheels to threaten the oil. Monahan looks like he's sporting cinder skates. Flames need to upgrade speed and mobility to truly make any real noise. They are a playoff team, but too slow to threaten contenders.
