Not really. Everything on social media is a branding game, and most of it is damned if you do, damned if you don't. I'd rather see that and know it was the company I like/buy from, than nothing or a generic thoughts and prayers message.
Obviously not the same thing, but the Flames FB page changed it's profile pic to a Flaming C on a rainbow instead of red for pride week. I don't think they should have gotten rid of their logo and just put up the rainbow, because they're a brand, and it's a company page.
---edit---
However I have not seen the post in question.

I don't think a company needs to connect themselves to a tragedy, though. If they want to tie something in to Boss's Day, or Mother's Day, or Thanksgiving, or whatever, then get creative/clever with that. If you're Red Cross, then maybe you can use something like this to reinforce a message for donating blood. But to sell a product? I don't like it, personally.

That point I get. Tons do however, albeit most do it substantially more subtly.
I saw the post after I posted, and granted it looks a little cheery for what it's supposed to be conveying. Don't think I'd be boycotting them over it though.

Apparently this nutwad made a video before and during the attack. Hopefully, if nothing else, gives insight into motive and WTF was wrong with this scum.

A very common sense opinion and logic. It blows me away swaths of American public view this opinion as oppressive.

I am fine with you owning a firearm as long as you meet the requirements to do so.
The safety course is also a joke and needs to be reigned in. If you know a 'buddy' who is licensed to run the course he'll pass you pretty easily.

What? Really?
I sat through a day+ learning how to "ACT PROVE" all kinds of weird actions for nothing? Dangit.

Was this recently? I'm wondering if certain things about the course have been changed lately cause I've heard it from a few people that it has gotten a little more strict and finding those 'buddies' to pass you is a little harder.

My Father (collector, gunsmith, hunter, competitor) would find those restrictions oppressive here in Canada.
Handguns are legal here, as are semi automatic rifles (many with detachable box magazines that could be illegally but easily replaced with large capacity ones, some that can be converted to full auto by someone in the know), as are autoloader shotguns.

Good I'm afraid. Getting a gun should be the biggest pain in the ass there is. If your pops love guns that much - he'll go through the process to procure them legally. If the forms, fees, and red tape makes him throw up his hands and find a new hobby - job done.

There are a ton of things we restrict or ban or legislate against or make offenses out of, which are far less dangerous that guns.
How the hell anyone cares if someone considers restricting these particular items 'oppressive' literally dumbfounds me.

What good can come of naming them? The discussion is interesting enough and the practice widespread enough that I don't think we need to single out one company. Maybe they do tons of good in the community and this is just one misstep - and even that is debatable.

Because if enough people send them a message perhaps they will remove their offensive material.

Bullet holes in the door. Fired, I assume, at the security guard.

It is in some capacity. I'll have to look it up but I recall seeing a page on the RCMP website about how many applications were submitted during a particular year, and how many were rejected and for what reason. One of the reasons was mental health concerns.
The safety course I took sure wasn't a joke. There may be 'buddies' out there than can pass you but a vast majority of people likely don't have access to someone like that.
