You can't have everyone be a speedster. Jagr can still make a lot happen even without much foot speed. Hell, stick him with Bennett, see what happens.

So you slam the Stone signing, yet think the Flames should go after Jagr. Tells me all I need to know about you.

That I'm right about everything ever? Why thank you.
Always amazing how personally some people take even a single instance of criticism of the home team.

I think the Flames want a little more veteran experience and championship pedigree at forward to help guide the kids. Sharp would have fit nicely on a short term deal. As it stands I wouldn't be surprised if they took a run at a depth guy that they can move around the lineup and maybe play on either wing. Perhaps Williams, Paranteau, Bennett, Hayes ilk would fit as long as the term and $ isn't stupid.

Don't really care about the 'gaping hole' at RW.

Agreed on both fronts. Also think we have a kid or two who is ready to pick up where Chiasson/Bouma left off.

I would be fine with jagr but that's probably more the fan in me than anything. We're at the point now after missing on Williams sharp and marleau that I don't really want anyone.
Not a single free agent remaining Id rather have over jankowski. Or foo. Or Hathaway.
Maybe time to see which kid wants it the most.

Still working on the details, but Winnipeg is likely destination for Dmitry Kulikov.

Fan 960, term and $ may have gotten in the way of Williams coming to Calgary.

By all accounts Radulov wants way too much for way too long, and the Habs will still probably give it to him because a) they desperately need scoring and b) Bergevin.

The time to have moved a young goalie would've been at the draft.
Rittich's rights may be flipped in a side deal. Otherwise, I'd rather hang on to both Parsons and Gillies.
Rittich's an interesting prospect, but I think the upside on the other two is higher.

You already have thirteen bodies that are virtual roster locks right there. Shinkaruk and Poirier will have to clear waivers and may come in with huge training camps. Jankowski in my eyes is already at least one of our seven or eight best top 9 forwards. Mangiapane looked NHL ready by the end of last year. Klimchuk and Foo will push for a spot in camp. It's not like we would be handing a spot to anybody (besides Brouwer/Lazar, who have been handed a spot but double standards apply to certain guys). And people should not sleep on Pribyl... when healthy he was like an intelligent Colborne last year.
