Roger Millions @RogMillions
Looking like a pretty quiet day in CGY. After a wild two weeks for Brad Treliving. No worry for what they may want.

I think Brad will make a trade. Let's say Florida.

Also interesting to see Chris Pronger added to the front office. McCabe was already part of the team last year. Those are two veterans that can help with the coaching of a young and promising defense corps. I hope they add something else to the team long term.

Jagr makes all kinds of sense. Iginla is more of a sentimental story than a hockey pickup, but Jagr actually would be a really good addition if he's reasonably cheap on a one year.

They don't have any wingers left to trade for, unless you're talking about Huberdeau and I don't see that happening from Florida's perspective. Plus, he's a LWer and we need RWers.

Maybe. I love Jagr, but it looks like the Flames are trying to be a quick team, and Jagr isn't all that quick anymore. It could work, but I wouldn't be certain of it.

Pitts shoring up D.

Travis Yost @travisyost
Matt Hunwick to Pittsburgh. Believe this is a small deal.

I respectfully disagree. I admittedly only watched ~7 Panthers games, but I thought he looked great, speed wise. He may not be able to play 80 games, which may be a problem for some teams, but his speed to me was a total non-issue.

Ryan Rishaug @TSNRyanRishaug
I don't expect Oilers to be too busy today. NHL/AHL Dman, depth RW are possibilities. Have called on Ty Rattie.

Well...unlike last year it seems as though our UFA goalies are finding homes. Hopefully this year's Flames gambles pay off better!

I don't see Treiliving being too active on uFA market now. I think it'll be a trade of some kind. Gillies for similar young forward. Maybe Kappanen or something like that.

RW is still a need and Foo is not an answer there for this season.

Sounds like Sharp was seen as their one realistic target and they didn't have a lot of appetite for the ufas beyond that. Don't blame them but that hole on wing is still looming.

I don't know if people will be satisfied with a whole season of Ferland as the 1RW given his lack of playmaking ability and inconsistency. Doesn't feel like a recipe for success.

It's an issue, trust me. He can still get around ok, but don't expect him to have much stamina anymore. He gets gassed pretty quickly now. As the season went on, his speed became more and more of an issue. It's to be expected for a 45 year old player.

Barkov plays an east-west game in the neutral zone, so it doesn't seem like his speed is an issue when he does that. That line also played a LOT of their time on the cycle, which works well with Jagr's skills.

I love Jagr, but I'm not sure I see a fit in Calgary.

You never know, if Treliving is set on Sharp then he could always sweeten a deal prior to 10:00 to sway him from Chicago.

I would be very content if this team does nothing more in the UFA market and just re-ups their RFAs.

Don't really care about the 'gaping hole' at RW.

Screw it, Flames window is open, bring in Radulov. Worry about the long term financial consequences later on while you're drinking champagne from the Cup.

Trocheck and Bennett as key parts of a trade. I'm just throwing it at the wall because I'm bored.

Same. I'm very happy to sit this one out. Not a lot out there that interests me and even less that we can afford
