President Donald Trump’s Washington hotel received roughly $270,000 in payments linked to Saudi Arabia as part of a lobbying campaign by the Gulf kingdom against a controversial piece of terrorism legislation last year.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-h...dis-1496700739

Behind a paywall, but basically it's from Saudi Arabia staying at Trump hotels as part of an effort to lobby against a terrorism-related law, the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA), which would allow US people to sue other governments for terrorist attacks.

Reality Winner? That's her name?
Yeah, that's not going to read well in the history books; a reality TV star with few other qualifications becomes president on a campaign largely composed of promising 'so much winning', is beset by leaks and calls of those leakers losers, and then one of those leaks turns out to be named Reality Winner? I'm trying to think what eras of western history are going to look as stupid in retrospect... tulipmania? the pornocracy? It'll be a pretty short list. Hopefully it will be something that history students of the future can have a good laugh about, and not the precursor to something worse.

This really doesn't smell right. Someone with TS clearance would have a much better understanding of SecOps and how to handle information so it can't be traced back to you. Seriously, anyone with a clearance to that level knows that all document access is logged, including printing, and that most systems use some type of technology that identifies the specific individual who printed the document. It is highly unlikely that anyone would print the document, fold it (this is important, because it identifies it as being printed and limits the pool of those to review), and turn over the original to someone like Greenwald through insecure means. Someone with this level of expertise would take advantage of The Intercept's SecureDrop to leak the doc. Also, no one with any SecOps experience or training is going to use their work computer to make contact. This just wreaks of something that makes me believe this isn't on the up-and-up.

Or she just trusted The Intercept too much, maybe they told her they wouldn't publish the originals then did.

The guys at The Intercept know just as well as she should, it's hard not to think they burned her on purpose for some reason.

The best part of Trump being bigly in bed with the Saudis is that his cultists spent the entire election cycle saying the Clinton Foundation taking money from the Saudis showed Hillary was corrupt, against gay and womens rights, supports terrorism etc...Obviously now the crickets are deafening.

So no one talking about how about the alt-right is claiming CNN made up a fake protest in London
Then DonnyJr really spread it
https://twitter.com/CNNPR/status/871841290949885958

This president and his inner circle have about as much credibility as the North Korean government these days with their disinformation and how they promote fake news from the right wing extremist media.

Yes, if you blindly support this administration, you are - frankly - a supreme moron.

Although it was dubbed the “Million Canadian Deplorables March,” both The Daily Caller and Breitbart claimed about 5,000 people showed up in Ottawa to protest Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and to show favor for Donald Trump, whom protest organizer Mike Waine called a “smart man.”
“Most Canadians are asleep because fake news is telling them stories that just aren’t true,” Waine told The Daily Caller in its article “Thousands Of Canadian ‘Deplorables’ March To Support Trump And Oppose Trudeau.”
Ironically, Ottawa police now say there weren’t thousands, let alone 5,000 or a million, protesters at the March at all.

“We average about two or three (demonstrations) a day. It would be like Washington D.C. for you guys,” said Ottawa Police Constable Marc Soucy. “This one would be on the small side for sure.”
Soucy said that, while the Ottawa Police doesn’t officially provide crowd estimates, there were not 5,000 people at the rally’s “gathering point” in Ottawa’s Confederation Park.
“There were less than 100 [at the park],” he said.

That's right, we need a TRAVEL BAN for certain DANGEROUS countries, not some politically correct term that won't help us protect our people!
So Saudi Arabia isn't considered a dangerous country?

Fer f--- sakes, that's his 5th crazy tweet today in regards to his idiotic Muslim ban. The guy is clearly having a total meltdown. Can't wait to see his head explode when Comey testifies on Thursday.

I just cannot see how he's alive at the end of his term, assuming of course he even makes it. You have a man who...

- Is extremely overweight
- Has an extremely poor and unhealthy diet
- Considers exercise as using his thumbs to tweet
- Is extremely angry in an extremely high stress job
- With very poor sleeping habits
- Likely mentally ill
- With an ongoing criminal investigation, with more investigations in the future likely
- Experiencing continued losses in his attempt to implement his agenda
- In a job he pretty clearly hates

Heart attack or stroke have to be at least as likely as impeachment. 43 more months of pure rage and high stress alone would be enough, but factor in the rest...yeesh.

You really have to have too much time on your hands to march for Trump when you're not even living in the same country. These people are just so clueless.

Well the US has a base in Qatar for....maybe another day or two? He really is functionally ######ed. Also, he's in deeper with the Saudis than any of his predecessors which obviously is not a good thing.

A good article on the truth behind the BLOTUS's boasts about coal:

http://www.climatecentral.org/news/f...ts-bleak-21510

In short, natural gas is to cheap for coal to compete, and the mines opening are small and mostly metallurgical coal.

I don't really get "rage" from this guy. I don't think he cares enough to get really rage-y or that stressed about it. His world-class ego seems like a magic shield.

I sure don't see him lasting 3.5 more years though, but he seems more like a quitter than a die-er.
