I can also see Gulutzan being fired before the end of the year. He gets saved by a 10 game winning streak. Outside of Darryl Sutter we've had horrible coaching decisions.

Wasn't thinking that was the case. He had quite the body of work, but talking like that to a mod would certainly put you on the radar.

I would love Bishop.
6x6 is probably market value. I think we can wing it though. If Bishop starts to show signs of aging in the last couple of seasons, it will be perfect timing for someone like Gillies or Parsons to take over.
Of course, I would love to see him sign for less though.

I don't want Bishop at all for the Flames. The sole reason is the term of the contact. 6 years is too long for my liking.
Edit: anything over 4 years is too long.

What a fascinating read. 10/10. I say we un-ban guuar so that I can get my daily fix of Steve Bannon-esque positions and evidence, all with an Alex Jones-like style of conveying thoughts. Truly, that was spectacular to witness.

Glad that's over with. Now hopefully we can get back to topic. I imagine the Flames will have to offer more than a team outside the division as why would the Kings send his rights in the division to the Flames if another team's offer is in the same ballpark.

I just hope Treliving isn't still hung up on Matt Murray. He sees a young 22 year old kid who is turning into a really good #1 and won't give it up. He did the same thing with Hamilton. Whatever goalie he gets the team will be his defining moment as a GM. Thus far his transactions have been average to suspect at best.
Outside of Frolik his UFA signings aren't very good.
I also get a feeling he had little choice on Elliot as St. Louis had an offer from Dallas as well.

Yep I would agree that goaltending has been his downfall so far and will define his time as GM for the Flames. He needs to get it right!

To be fair, while Scorpion can be a little eccentric at times he's not a jerk. That guy was just condescending. He lost me as soon as he pulled the "I played in the WHL" as if that made him smarter than everyone else.
