It is pretty hard to reason with that level of stupidity.

the Trump tax plan...
http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/26/politi...-tax-proposal/
i am not sure what's going on in that administration... obviously, their base is too dogmatic or too dumb to care, however, anyone with any kind of critical thinking can see this as a total joke...
Is Trump that desperate to pump up his 100 day resume that he's just throwing in any measure he can?
I have no issue of reforming taxes, so long its fair to everyone and not just to the wealthy, but come on.... this kind of release makes the Trump administration look like they are doing it intentionally to bait the press...
and before the Trump supporters can wail "fake news" that's the damn release provided by the White House... I wish it were fake, as i could have come up with that over my lunch hour, and you would hope that the WH would at least try to get things right, considering their ineptitude to this point...i mean, bonus points for not being written in crayon...

some of the "highlights":
- 80 percent of Trump voters think it’s a bigger problem that news organizations produce false stories, while only 3 percent of them think it’s a bigger problem that the Trump administration makes false claims. (Among Republicans overall, this is 69-14.)
- Only 17 percent of Trump voters think the Trump administration regularly makes false claims, while 76 percent of Trump voters think it doesn’t. (Among Republicans overall, this is 31-65.)
- By contrast, 78 percent of Trump voters think that news organizations regularly produce false stories, while only 19 percent of them think otherwise. (Among Republicans overall, this is 70-27.)
- Meanwhile, 84 percent of Trump voters think he’s keeping most of his major campaign promises, while only 4 percent think he isn’t, and 89 percent of them think he’s honest and trustworthy.
its no wonder he keeps doing the things he does with that kind of monolithic support....
i know there was some discussion about whether or not belittling Trump supporters does anything but make the situation worse...
at this point, i'd call a spade a spade... or stupid is as stupid does... the GOP base 'does stupid' damn well.

Yup, these people are beyond delusional at this point, and there really is no hope for them at all. There's no way you're going to change the mind of someone who is that far off the deep end.

I feel stupid. I assumed the American system was more complex, yet they grew the economy and created millions of jobs with 19 bullet points on the tax system. But yes, you can bet Trump will give himself credit for this on his 100 day resume.

House Intelligence Committee to call a long list of witnesses on the Russia-Trump probe. After Devin Nunes recused himself when it became public he was refusing access to classified documents required for the investigation, the committee is now poised to call over three dozen witnesses
Quote:
The House Russia investigation is not just back on track, it's chugging on -- with an agreed-upon plan to call high-profile witnesses from the campaign of President Donald Trump, new access to intelligence documents and plans to work longer hours in Washington.
"We're working in a bipartisan manner, we're going to be thorough, professional and meticulous," House Russia investigation leader Mike Conaway told CNN on Wednesday. Conaway added that he is in discussions to get access to the top-level intelligence typically reserved for the "Gang of Eight" in Congress, but he declined to elaborate.
Conaway and Rep. Adam Schiff, the lead Democrat on the investigation, met and agreed on a likely witness schedule, culled from a witness list that investigators say includes 3-4 dozen names. Conaway told House intelligence committee members Tuesday that they should plan on spending more time in Washington as the investigation gears up.
It's a complete reversal from just a few weeks ago, when the House Russia investigation was on life support -- the victim of a partisan showdown sparked by House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes' clandestine trip to the White House which ended in his recusal from the investigation amid a House ethics probe.
Nunes' recusal, House Russia investigators said Wednesday, coincided with renewed access to intelligence documents that, they said, were denied to them during the three weeks that followed Nunes' trip to the White House.

Meanwhile in a bizarre move, the White House is now blaming the Obama administration for Michael Flynn despite lack of evidence and having most of the acts happening in the Trump administration. I expect further distractions and crazy behaviour from the administration to happen as the date for the hearings gets closer. Maybe a random US military strike somewhere... like NK.
Quote:
Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was directly told in 2014 not to take money from foreign governments without explicit permission, documents released Thursday reveal. Flynn, who resigned from the Trump administration in February, took $34,000 in December 2015 for a speaking gala concerning Russian TV and more than $500,000 for lobbying on behalf of Turkish interests ahead of the November election. A defense intelligence official said Thursday that no record of Flynn asking for permission or approval "for the receipt of money from a foreign source" could be found, NBC News reports.
Facing accusations that Flynn's vetting process by the Trump team was insufficient, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer noted Thursday that the Obama administration was responsible for giving Flynn his security clearance years prior. Of course, it was still the Trump team that named Flynn as the administration's national security adviser, a role he filled for just 24 days.
