Talk about a homer post. All I see is a bunch of excuses. Fact is, this core will never accomplish anything. Yeah, they might be a playoff team but that's it. They are gonna be easy picking for anyone in the first round.
This team sucks.
I am going to guess you are highly emotional right now but this is an overreaction. Tough to sell these players and this core short when they are still so young
But... They at least won a game back in 2015 playoffs vs Ducks.
They also never looked like a team that could win that series from the puck drop of game 1. This team was in every game, at least.

The Ducks just seem to have it so easy against the Flames. It feels like they don't even need to try. Somehow the Flames will just lose to themselves.
In any case, still proud of the team for recovering after a terrible start to the season. No idea what this offseason will bring but I'm confident the Flames will be a better team next year
If they let Gulutzan go, I'm betting they let Trelivin go at the same time. Time will tell, but I've heard from some people that the ownership was not happy with the Gulutzan hire in the first place and hey are both odamn lucky they went on that month long run.
I still think the current management and coaching should be given one more year.

As soon as we had the Ducks in the 1st round it was unlikely we would win, but eff I didn't think we'd get swept. I place the series loss squarely on Elliott and I do not want him back under any circumstance, would rather roll with Chad and Gillies. Pretty brutal atmosphere leaving the dome tonight. Now I'm just cheering for the Sharks, beat those greasy bitches!!

The Flames beat themselves. I was not afraid of Anaheim at any point during the series. They are not the behemoth that the Flames made them out to be. I wouldn't be shocked if they get thumped in round 2.
I disagree. I think the Ducks are very good and the Flames are a good team, too. They just have holes in the lineup and inexperience hurting them.
If the Flames had either Gibson or Bernier in net they win the series.

Rubbish, a couple changes here and there and this team will be fine. If anything the Flames improved this season and these playoffs showed us we need a few more steps to beat the best. Nothing to be ashamed of; It's better to see where we need improvements now so we can build off them.

True, I am. But again - an excuse. Toronto is young and they are hanging it in there with Washington. Edmonton is young, Ottawa as well.
