Just real frustrating, because both games were there for the taking, and the Flames shot themselves in the foot with the preventable mistakes. I'm not intimidated by the Ducks. Flames can go toe to toe with them. Just for whatever reason, mistakes the Flames make, they get screwed by, and mistakes by the Ducks, Flames can't capitalize on. Just something about that damn arena.
Ah well, they may get swept, they may not. I'm still going to enjoy the next two games regardless of the outcomes. People who are already giving up clearly do not appreciate how hard playoff games are to come by. Why not enjoy them while we have them?

How many goals scored ducks top line 5on5? one in each game. that's the difference and that's why it's 2-0 right now. Any player playing PP standing in front opf the net waiting for the pass would have some solid amount of goals.
Where is the possession game from the top line , particularly monahan? getzlaf takes the puck enters our zone and each time it's scoring chance. If you don't have possession you can score only some garbage goals or PP goals. Moreover, if you don't have possession the opposing team has the puck and scoring chances.
I'm not that much critical of gaudreau, even though i was hoping he would get stronger over couple of years. most skilled player on this team but limited due to his size and leg and arms strenght.
Monahan is fine 1C if you want to be average playoff borderline team. If you want to win the cup you need getzlaf, kopitar, or similar player. Winning the cup without such guy is possible but it's an outlier happening once in ten years.
Flames are not bad team, they're just not skilled enough to be contender. And i want to win the cup or at least be serious contender.

Sorry that's what I meant, they aren't the mystery man. Either the stats guy they they have up there or a technician.
Anyways, those are two tough loss as but the Ducks hardly look invincible.
I maintain my pre series prediction that the Flames win 2 on the road. So close to happening tonight,so will be that much sweeter when Game 7 concludes.

You know the only thing more frustrating than losing to the ducks 100x in a row is knowing a huge chunk of their fan base doesnt even understand the game.

The part about Bart's play that scares me is when he has the puck behind the net and is trying to decide who to pass to. He looks so nervous as if he afraid he's going to screw up.
Other than that I like his play in the series.

Which is asinine.
There's a difference between "blaming" the refs (which FDW did not do despite you using that word) and pointing out there is zero consistency in their calling of the game.
They did / do a terrible job and in no way should discussing their inconsistency be off limits.

I don't think it's millions, he wouldnt be up there after the game. Wouldn't he be down below for interviews. I think Francis is in cali there was an interview with him on cbc news before the first game and it was pretty warm and sunny looking in the background of the interview. Donno if he's still there though.

He's still a kid and developing. And he's put up some superb numbers at his position in doing so.
There is very much room for growth in his game.
You are detestable to read. You only come here after losses to post the worst, most debbie-downer comments in broken english.
Why do you even watch the games? What joy does it bring you to do so with that constant attitude?

Hathaway would have ripped the heads off a few Ducks by now, put him in the lineup.

dude the Flames had the majority of the scoring chances and possession...Getzlaf got ANOTHER Flames own goal
None of the Ducks goals were even good scoring chances...NONE!

If the Flames play like they did tonight in Calgary it's going to be a best of 3 back in Anaheim.

Exceptional? Your standards must be pretty low. I would call exceptional something to the effect of being a standout player every single shift in all facets off the game. He's 6'3 and 200lbs. He doesn't have to run people through the boards but he can certainly use his frame and finish the odd check when it presents itself instead of playing as small as Guadreau in most instances.
As it stands now, his "excellent zone play" has the Flames in an 0-2 hole. He's also getting dominated in the faceoff circle. It's not all on him but saying that's enough just doesn't cut it in the playoffs. Your top Center needs to give you a heck of a lot more than that. Especially for 6.5M per year.

You've just summed up why hockey is a team game. Monahan's had an excellent first two games, but there are 20 other players.
