My guess is it's a producer. Seeing as the arena is empty, most tv and print reporters would be making their way downstairs to gather audio by this point. Whoever it is will be lucky to have a job on Monday.

The way Garrett says "I don't know him that well, you're mr flames so you probably know him better than I do" leads me to believe it's someone from the organization.

Pretty good guess that it wasn't a broadcaster or media member, likely some crew member. Media were all downstairs at the time, they wouldn't be hanging around Ball and Garrett.

Who cares about what the broadcasters said!? I'm sorta glad that they were just as frustrated as all of us. I am friggin sick to my stomach that we lose yet again and I have to hear it from my goddamn brother in-law about how we are chokers and how great his effing oilers are. I want to burn his house down with him and his entire family in it. Yeah I am that pissed. It's like the 1980's all over again and I'm in my own personal Vietnam. Gonna be ten times worse this coming week when we get swept and those bastards beat San Jose.
Are we ever going to have a team that can compete for a cup here??? Guys have got to step up when its crunch time and no one wanted to be the hero tonight. I need more alcohol...

Congrats to the weasel that pulled this leak off.

Ball and Garrett are mic'd, third guy isn't. I think your take on this is dead wrong. Seems it was a continued feed and not a leak of any kind.

And to get on to the more important discussion:
I thought the Flames played great. They controlled the play for much more than half of the game, and have shown they can be the better team. The Ducks are lucky to be up 2-0.

I think there was actual magnetic tape used, 3/4" reel to reel style.

And if your response is that they let Lindholm's go because of Chiasson roughing him up... He wouldn't have even been in that scenario had he been able to pick up his stick and resume play.
|
he was held for a good 20 seconds and would have had a scoring chance...and yeah the one on Gio was at least as bad
By the book you could call a penalty but the standard changed
NHL has favorites, we aren't one of them...look back over the entire season and put together all the goal challenges, we have been ####ed over so many times
Flames need to play flawless to win
Hope you guys tear the refs a new one at the dome...I won be spending anymore money on the NHL

Or he was talking to Ball when he said that, given that Ball calls the Flames, and Ball wisely decided to change the subject.

Ball and Garrett are 100% in that video, but they aren't the one who is swearing asking if DH has a brain.

Absolute perfect 2nd line type player, but going up against an a-hole like Kesler (puke) he has no chance.
Props to Monahan though, he has shown he can take the physical play and not shy away.
|
I disagree. Gaudreau has shown the ability to elevate his game in the playoffs i.e. Canucks game 6 & Ducks game 3. He has the talent and skillset to create a lot of scoring chances that no one else on this team has.
But lets be honest here, Gaudreau is still one of the smallest players in the game, far smaller than Kane actually despite what the bios say. He's soft, shys away when the game gets overly physical and plays a perimeter game when he's scared to get hit to make a play.
At some point in his career, Gaudreau will have to take his off season training and diet seriously like Martin St. Louis did. He's going to have get stronger, tougher and meaner because it's obvious the refs aren't going to be saving him.

i think putting in Lazar is a no brainer, and even Wideman, as Bart looked really shaky out there tonight...
|
Yeah Bart was pretty bad today, I just don't think Wideman has the foot speed to keep up.
Personally would rather see Hathaway drawn in over Lazar as he will bring a bit more punch and physicality. Lazar would bring some good energy but I can't see him being a factor, especially after only playing like 2 games in the past month.

Easiest $200 I've ever made though betting on the Ducks for the first 2 games, at least the curse is paying off now

How did you afford such a high horse if all the money you have to bet on the most guaranteed thing ever is $100 a whack?

It's easy to blame the refs for the loss when in actuality it was the Flames themselves that cost them a win.
Do we excuse Hamilton because of a supposed missed call on Lindhom? If so then that's just deflecting from the real reason we lost.

It's not a "leak" if it got broadcasted over the air on the online feed available to literally 30 million people.

This was clearly snuck out of Honda Center via microfilm.
