That should have been the attitude first drop of the puck in game 1. Everyone and their cute little dog knew the officiating was not going to be even handed in Anaheim.

No, he absolutely should not have.
I think most missed it when it happened but...
When the referees watched the replay on the tablet, they were checking to see 2 things. One if the puck went in and secondly if the posts were on the post when it did. During the watching of that replay, they(toronto) decided the goal went in and the posts were on, but there was goaltender interference to allow it to enter the net.
When he came out to explain it over the PA system he said,
" after further review there is no goal....there was goaltender interference on the goalie "(redundancy and all but thats what he said)
So if GG was to call for a review it would have been to challenge something they already decided after review. In others words....pointless.

There is a couple obvious things the coaches seem pretty stubborn about. Might be too late before they come around.

I agree that you can't give them a reason, but they sure we're looking hard for a reaso, and even without those two plays I think the refs find something else to send us to the box for.

It only occurred because the Flames were on the PK. They were on the PK because of a inexperienced-based sloppy/dumb play by Hamilton.

Go cheer for someone else.
Being a fan means you support your team even when they're having tough times.
It reminds me of earlier in the year when every player and every coach was constantly being thrown under the bus, only to realize later that this team is actually good and deserved better from the fans early on.
Get your #### together Flames fans. Cheer for your boys. They're coming home and they need to win both. Support the team.

Saying the Flames are inferior to the Ducks does not make one a Flames fan less than you or anyone else. It is the truth, the Ducks are a better team.
As well, I think that there is a lot of merit to the claim that Flames have a loser mentality. They lost this game because of a bad penalty. Last game because of a line change. Good teams do not do that in the playoffs. And there were load of other times Flames lost the game because of dumb plays.
Like I said, for a team that preaches hockey IQ, we sure have a lot of players that consistently make boneheaded plays.

It's equally as sad reading posts of people who clearly are talking out of their bunghole about Flames being the inferior team. Both teams played even, you guys just look like smug aholes talking down to the rest of us and trying to make it sound like Flames got outplayed when anyone watching the two games can clearly see they weren't.

I love how you state it's obviously not a curse one post after saying a curse is a stronger reason than the play on the ice. Yawn.
It's a losing streak and it will end when the Flames play a complete game and maybe get a break or two.

At the very least that could have been coincidental minors. But it was pretty blatant interference as Hamilton was trying to skate back into the play.

Good glad Gully is standing up for the team... hoping that will rally the team like Sutter used to do...

Final thoughts on the night.
There is a fine line between winning and losing in the playoffs. Unfortunately we have not quite been on the right side of it. However, both games have been 1 goal games and I honestly believe this series isn't over. There is a saying out there that in the playoffs you're never really in deep trouble until you lose a game at home. Win both our home games and anything can happen.
We have to believe. I'm sure every one of those players still believes so we have to as well. We can't quit now otherwise what's the point in even playing the 2 home games.

It was smart optics on GG's part not to challenge. Pretty sure when i was lipreading them during the discussion they felt it was pointless at that point.

Can't blame it all on officiating, but it is true there were patent inconsistencies that once again benefitted the Ducks. Gulutzan will get fined, but it is totally a fair comment.
Brodie deserved the late penalty. But at least the Flames killed it.
Hamilton did NOT deserve that penalty. Particularly on a guy who should get about 4 penalties a game for his BS. That is two players interfering with each other late in a tied playoff game, and Hamilton didn't initiate it.
It also drives me nuts that we NEVER kill those - to the point where we score on ourselves twice in as many games.
