Could Care Less

The Flames were dominant tonight. Clearly the better team. Take care of business at home and then set sights on game five to end it once and for all.

Get a 5 goal lead and hang on for the win. People laughed when I said this but I'm dead serious. The curse is seriously in the teams head and it keeps getting passed on to new players.

Go cheer for someone else.
Being a fan means you support your team even when they're having tough times.
It reminds me of earlier in the year when every player and every coach was constantly being thrown under the bus, only to realize later that this team is actually good and deserved better from the fans early on.
Get your #### together Flames fans. Cheer for your boys. They're coming home and they need to win both. Support the team.

Thanks Cali. Made my night to read this.

Entirely?
How about not at all? It was a deflection off his skate while he was standing exactly where he should be in the passing lane.
Jeezuz the level of nonsense around here is at an all time high.

Calgary may have been the better team tonight but we're still taking undisciplined penalties that are costing us the game.
Calgary was NOT the better team in game 1. We were dominated in literally every aspect.
If we lose this series, this all goes back to the line change. Could literally be the first time an entire series was lost on 1 play.

That ending was also "a little over the top", DD.
I am steamed. This is the toughest ending to a game I've ever watched. I cannot express how much I ####ing despise the Anaheim Ducks and their Lyle Lanley P.A. announcer and their sunburnt fans.

It seems lately that either the Flames play hard and dumb, or timid and smart.
Neither works against Anaheim.

Also no idea why Gulutzan didn't pull Elliott with 1:30 left when we had the faceoff in the Ducks zone. We actually won possession and had to do a worthless pass back to our own zone.

They are a better team. Period. There is no debate, and it's why we can't beat them more than a handful of times every few seasons.
It's not a magic voodoo thing. That sounds more asinine.
|
Can't expect objectivity or clear thinking on a sports forum after a loss of that magnitude from a bunch of half-cut, angry fans. It's hard to accept that we're in for another ousting by the same team that ousted us two years ago. I love the Flames, but they are finished. I've been optimistic about the Flames for years. But it's so much less disappointing when you just accept that they have no chance against Anaheim. They would have beat Chicago.

Oh I am, because I'm talking about not being about to get even one measly fluke win out of it. Try to read and understand instead of doing your usual pot shots and begging for an argument, it's tiring.
28 games is over a third of a regular season, even the worst team in the NHL would be able to luck out against the best team a couple times in that span. It's obviously not a curse but it's not about being the inferior team, because even a crappy team would get one or two out of it. This has got to be an unprecedented losing streak in one building.

I agree with everyone saying 'the Ducks do the same thing'. The difference is, they are very calculated about when and where. Flames need to work on that.

Edit: on another note, wow GG is ticked and dejected there. Coach is where a lot of us are right now.

Regretting what exactly? Like I said, I love Bennett, that doesn't mean I can't appreciate what Nylander is doing as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see him be a near-ppg forward in a few years.
