It's not a curse but it's not about being an "inferior team" because for some of those years, they weren't. 28 losses in a row in one building is mind boggling. Hell even if it was about being an inferior team a putrid team would win 2-3 of those on pure luck alone.

I don't know what it is, but chalking it up to being a crappier team makes as much sense as there being a curse. Too many games over too many years with too many different players and coaches to chalk it up to that.

But they didn't play with a losing mentality today. They battled back after letting in 2 weak goals to start the game.
I am not questioning their effort. How many times have we seen them lose a game in the last 5 minutes? Most of the time by a dumb play or a dumb penalty.

For a team that preaches IQ, we have a lot of dumb players on this team.

Everything is 20/20 in hindsight.

It looked like they reviewed it in detail and was an absolute loss.

I'm actually more optimistic than I was after game 1. Flames outplayed the Ducks in their own barn. Might have been Monahan's best game in the NHL. Backlund much better. Ducks had a tough time generating offence, but the bounces went their way. Flames have shown enough that I think they can take both games in Calgary. This series isn't over by a long shot.

I wonder if the Blackhawks board is worse than ours tonight?

Who are they blaming?

Maybe they can win the next two. Like a 5 way parlay hitting in Vegas. It could happen!

So what's the percentage when being down 2 to 1? Flames deserved better than 2 losses but the lack of smarts is troubling.

Just curious, but who? The only drifter I saw out there was Brouwer, as usual. I thought the emotion was there.

Seeing these supposed Flames fans in this thread calling this team a bunch of losers or inferior makes me pissed.

Go cheer for someone else.

Being a fan means you support your team even when they're having tough times.

It reminds me of earlier in the year when every player and every coach was constantly being thrown under the bus, only to realize later that this team is actually good and deserved better from the fans early on.

Get your #### together Flames fans. Cheer for your boys. They're coming home and they need to win both. Support the team.

Truth. At least we've scored goals in our series...

Maybe strip the Flames logoing off of that car, and get on with the off season.

But your Flames posts have become over the top and circus like.
What is over the top about the post? It's the brutal truth.

How many times have we beat Anaheim in the regular season standings the last decade? When have we had s better goal differential? When have we advanced farther in the playoffs?

They are a better team. Period. There is no debate, and it's why we can't beat them more than a handful of times every few seasons.

It's not a magic voodoo thing. That sounds more asinine.

But think about how rarely we've been able to say the Flames were clearly better vs Anaheim. The outcome stinks, but this game says to me Calgary can beat these guys. They might even be the better team straight up. They should come out next game with confidence. And they should be angry.

How about for once you take your, "I'm a better fan than you" crap and shove it.

We need this thread to release the negative energy. Amen.

We are getting very close. It is disappointing. Disappointed in Brouwer, not so much on Bouma. But Hamilton and Brodie...and the early on Elliott. Top line needs to play like the best and highest paid players. Killer instinct please, those two pp late in the second.

Overall, we elevated our game to match the Ducks in their face. Let's see having home ice, last change would do. Fans please come out and make the loudest noise for the Flames and loudest boo on Kesler.

May be we can add "Bieksa is Ugly" to the chant.

Go Flames Go!!

Hopefully it's still in the works for him, but I'd love to see him (or Monahan) go beastmode and singlehandedly will this team to a victory.

Okay, this I completely agree with.
The Flames were the better team. But once again, their stupidity at the end cost them the game.

What do we have to do to get a win there?

Yes it was a stupid penalty but how that third went in makes me want to puke.

My buddy is supposed to drive me to the airport tomorrow but he won't be able to if I can find his baseball bat and take it to his fricken Honda.
