Anyone who thinks either of those two calls were legit is crazy. If that is the standard dads then Perry gets an interdee made call for skating over and impeding Hamilton. Kessler gets an unsportsmanlike call for diving. One sided soft calls are the refs tool to impact a game, and they did it beautifully.

I'm also reasonable certain that goal was called back in contravention of the league rules.

The ref didn't even know the puck went in the net, so how can he then review and make a determination of goaltender interference? That is as clear cut a case of why the refs on the ice should not be reviewing their own calls as you will ever see. He screwed up, but gets to watch the replay and sit there and think of a way to justify his call.

All that replay should have done is determine if the puck went in or not. Then it's up to Anaheim to challenge for goalie interference. You don't make a new call and put the onoeus on the Flames to challenge something you just had time to make sure you could justify.

Really ruined what was a great game otherwise.

Gulutzan needs to go full Sutter and pull a "we know they don't want us here" as it's incredibly obvious which way the calls are slanted.

Don't disagree. Backbreakers for sure. But he rallied.

And the melt down begins...

I thought we played a very good game, we were in it pretty much the entire time. I didn't think anyone looked bad except for maybe Bart. A bad curse filled bounce and a weak goal killed us. Moving on

This is such a team with an effing loser mentality. At least the Oilers play with heart, this sad sack of players do not deserve to wear a Flames jersey.

Just when you think they can't find a new way to lose a game, they do. LOSERS!

Yes, the series is probably over, and yes, it will probably end in 5.
But they didn't play with a losing mentality today. They battled back after letting in 2 weak goals to start the game.

Why so much anger tonight? I'm bummed out but I'm not angry. Anaheim is a better team. Calgary has kept it close. Pretty much what we expected, no?

It's about time for the NHL to fix this rigged league because soon enough we're just all going to move to another sport that has less bull#### like football (NFL).
Usually it's concealed by the Ducks territorially controlling games, so you can write it off as "well, they were better, so.."

but tonight it was especially obvious given the fact that the Flames were the ones in control, and taking it to the Ducks, yet at the most crucial time, get a breeze light call to offset things.

For every Hamilton hold, you could find an equal "penalty" on the Ducks side.

There's something else at work here. It may be subtle, but the playing field most certainly is not FLAT when it comes to the Calgary Flames. And it pisses me right the #### off.

It's not a curse.
You know I really respect you Pylon, I've dealt with you in person and you're a standup guy. But coming on here and posting the pictures of that car, and then these over the top posts of yours that are almost unreadable are really weird and actually make you look like that insane fan played by Randy Quaid in major league 2.

Maybe strip the Flames logoing off of that car, and get on with the off season.

But your Flames posts have become over the top and circus like.

God I am sick of everyone blaming the refs. it was fine. They got the lucky bounce in the end and we blew a chance at a comeback with an idiotic penalty. The league is not out to get us as much as you want it to be to make yourselves feel better

Yeah but if we went by that ....The officials should be pre-suaded that Perry and Kelser are f'in yayhoos. As such they would call penalties on them every time they touched the ice.

What is wrong with everyone? Flames were by far the better team tonight. Be angry about the goal and the bad penalties but calling the team terrible etc is very strange. They took some stupid penalties and lost on a very unlucky goal.

Team looked great for most of this game.

So Chaisson wasn't getting held in the 2nd period but Brodie was guilty of holding

Bouma* was fine today, just got unlucky with a freak own-goal on the penalty kill.

Honestly, Hamilton deserves more of the blame. Why in the world would you blatantly hold like that with 10 minutes left in the game? Especially after what happened last game.

True. He played awesome for the rest of the night. But it was those two soft goals that were the difference, same as the previous game unfortunately.
