Or you man up and don't give the refs a reason to call that stuff. That is what they said they needed to do better. But didn't.

Chiasson is the one who she be yanked for Lazar. Brouwer gets too much ice time but he's way more of a factor than Chiasson. No one on the Ducks is intimidated by Chiasson and he adds nothing offensively.

Im just going to point out that Perry was running interference on Hamilton. Yes Hamilton held the stick but they both should have gone off for that.

Either way if you look at the positive side of this...Calgary played well for most of the two games. Neither game was total domination by the Ducks. They play that way at home (with last change) they can tie this up.

Go ahead, tell me curses aren't real.
And why is a 4th line player getting so much PP time? Brouwer is awful, and has been awful all year. Let Ferland have his time. Gotta come up huge at home to tie it up but they did it against Detroit in '07 and San Jose in '08. Also the Blackhawks are down 0-2.

Well as long the Oilers don't win... if they do I don't think I can do this anymore. Just too much heartbreak to put up with.

I'm probably done with the NHL because the league is just not a professional league. The officiating is atrocious and has been so bad to the point that its effecting competitive balance on a game by game basis.

I'm probably done with the NHL because its a game that now punishes physical play, and I'm not talking about fighting.

When something becomes really aggravating to watch and you expect that the product is going to be harmed or damaged in some way night in and night out by the league itself, then maybe its time to stop watching.

I had a friend who was a hockey fan for his whole life, he bought jerseys and flew out to Philly to watch games, and I hadn't talked to him in a while. But I had coffee with him the other day and I was going to give him some friendly trash talking about his team, and his response was simple.

"I don't care, I stopped watching NHL a couple of years ago, and I don't even miss it"

I'm at that point.
I might join you on that.

You are right. Everytime Calgary does something and gets a penalty for something Ducks do multiple times and are not called for is rediculous..

The officials are pre-suaded (read Robert Cialdini's latest book) that Gaudreau is a diver. As such, he will not draw penalties.

Think I'm probably done with the league after this series. No entertainment value watching 5 on 7 crap all year

Jesus Christ, the only thing more embarrassing than the Flames choking this away with dumb penalties is the amount of posters who earnestly believe the league and the officials have an agenda against the Flames. That level of ridiculous paranoia and victimhood would make Canucks fans blush.

Easiest $200 I've ever made though betting on the Ducks for the first 2 games, at least the curse is paying off now
BS. The "script" was the Ducks handling the Flames in all aspect of the game like two years ago. The "script" was domination by the Ducks forward. None of that is happening. We are playing them even...and then shooting ourselves in the foot two or three times per game. It could be inexperience. It certainly is lack of mental toughness. It's just not a "the Ducks are the better team and we shouldn't be surprised".

There's a small number of you trying to advance a narrative that simply isn't true. Two years ago we got beat like a rented mule. This time we're both the mule and the beater.

So disappointed in Hamilton right now. Says today he needs to clean up the bad penalties he took last game and then that happened. I can only imagine how he feels right now.

That being said. Bring this game to the Saddledome and they can tie the series.

Elliott was not good on the first couple of Ducks goals. To his credit he bounced back in a huge way and in the end gave us a chance to win.

Most tenders would have cratered after those 2 bad goals.

The good: Calgary has been the better team through the first two games.

The bad: Calgary seems to have forgotten some basic ideas on how to play hockey at inopportune times leading to the team giving away both games.

dude shut up

they scored 2 bad goals and had a ridiculous bounce...Flames also had a goal called back...Ducks ####ing fluked this one out

OH, an OP, you shouldn't put this loss on any of those players. Bartkowski and Brodie were fine, but Brodie caught on a Kesler dive. Hamilton was good and got caught on a Corey Perry dive. Gaudreau could be better, but had a good game overall.

And DON'T YOU DARE put that last goal on Bouma. He did his job and a terrible bounce from the HIGH SLOT managed to get past Elliott. Shame on you for putting that on Bouma.

If you want to hate things, hate the despicable players on the Ducks and the ridiculous luck they get in their building. This game was all Flames outside of those two factors.
Look, the last goal wasn't on Bouma entirely, Elliott should have been in position, I understand.

But Bouma had SO MANY CHANCES to score tonight and couldn't. Like six rebounds came out to him in the slot and he whiffed on every one. He looked like Tanner Glass out there.
