As someone who works for Red Bull I would be upset if Calgary did that. However Edmonton is no good and Calgary is not. Therefore Sharks in five.

Looking past the Orange Crush, I can't wait to see what the "only the Oilers would do that" moment will be tonight. you know there is going to be something, maybe an opening ceremony? Something is bound to be incredibly cringe worthy.

Charging $80 for concourse-only access doesn't fit the bill?

Flame away - I don't expect any different (!!) - but I'm definitely going to take a moment tonight and relish the fact that the long journey through the desert is finally over.

I'm with ya. Got tickets tonight and leaving at noon!

Seems a little early to leave just to stand in the concourse

Oh man me too! Exactly how I feel. I have a 10 year old daughter who has never seen an Oilers Playoff game. We are all pumped!

As my way of saying thanks, I hope you all enjoy the 4 Oilers games that will be played during these playoffs. Cherish them. Who knows how many decades away the next 4 will be.

Thanks!
I think Todd Mac has an axe to grind against his former team. I cant wait to see how it plays out. Can't take the Sharks lightly as they know how to play playoff hockey, but I do like our chances. whatever happens this year is a win!
Go Oilers!

Gotta be early to get a good spot in the lineup for the lone toilet in the upper bowl.

I can't even begin to imagine how loud it will be in the building tonight. 11 years of frustration unleashed.

This.
Calgarypuck or any forum are better with opposing views and fans of other teams. Signing up pretending to be a fan of another isn't that though, it's just childish and not needed.

For the Oilers it will be an emotional moment, as they leave the desert and look at the Oasis that is the NHL playoffs, knowing in their hearts that all too soon it will be back to the desert with them. So they will put their hearts and souls into this, come charging out of the gates with passion and fire and desire.
Of course the media and the fans are saying, its the sharks maaaannnnnn, this will be easy they're banged up and old and T-Mac will have an ace to grind (I can't figure that one out since T-Mac was a major part of the problem there, and whenever he returns to San Jose the people sniff the air and mutter, "Oh look its T-Mac, I thought I smelled failure and inadequacy"
The Oilers will come out and play hockey liked they've never played before. McDdavid's beautiful cross overs will be sighed at and there won't be a dry seat in the place. Talbot will stretch and reach for pucks, Draisaitl will skate hard and will make some nice plays.
For the Sharks its Wednesday.
Sharks 5 Oilers 3

Rules say that you must make a positive contribution. Trolls contribute positively to Bingo's pocket book, therefore phoney Flames fans are welcome. "Good for business".

Oilers should win, but all it's going to take is one Kreider moment and it's all over. Teams are going to know it too. I see a whole lot of crease crashing and McDavid mauling for as long as the Oilers are in this.

I can totally see the Sharks winning tonight.
The pressure and excitement and emotion will all be on Edmonton. I'm guessing they will be flying all over the ice at high speed doing nothing for the first 5-10min with all the adrenaline. The sharks will sit back, keep them to the outside, and just play a simple game. The sharks will capitalize on a chance or two, and until Edmonton 'settles down' it'll be a one sided affair on the score board, if not 'exciting rushes up the ice'.
Predict 4-2 SJ. 2-0 SJ after the 1st, and then a more balanced game.

I'm surprised to hear how excited these Oiler fans are.
Afterall, the past 10 years I was always lead to believe that the Lottery / Draft was what it was all about. The "Fall for Hall' all the way to McJesus.
Ponder Oiler fans. Don't you feel a little empty? Don't you kinda wish you could cheer for that lottery ball to drop? Wasn't winning the lottery your "Goal" for the post oh-so-long?

The Oilers are a carrying over an unclaimed 50/50 pot from the regular season.
The jackpot starts at $76,000.
I could see this thing going close to $200,000.......

Well at least one Oilers fan should leave the arena happy, even when they lose tonight.
