The ducks defence looks pretty great even without Cam Fowler. Give me Edmonton as an opponent please!

Are you insinuating that I am not a Flames fan simply because I think they may fall short in the first round? Forgot that we have to drink the kool-aid around here.

We would've faired better against the Hawks imo

Get lost.
Why do you still perpetuate this pretense of being a Flames fan? You have been called out on it consistently and your dishonestly is widely known.
We get it. You would rather the Flames face the Ducks. You know your Oilers faced the Flames team at very fortunate timings and are worried about an embarrassing first round exit to your rivals.

If we do end up playing the Oilers I hope the Flames immediately cut off the registration for playoff tickets. We don't need any of their stink in our rink.

I feel like the Ducks series is going to be harder to win but the stakes are so much higher vs the Oilers. Bring on either team. Go Flames Go!!!

I think the Ducks are better all around. If the Oilers get some bad goaltending, they're done. They have no back-up. If they get injured on the blueline, they're done. I'd take my luck against the Oilers more than the Ducks

Keep in mind coaching records (excluding this season):
Randy Carlyle
- 2006-07 Stanley Cup Winner
- 6 playoff appearances
- 7 playoff series victories
Todd Mclellan
- 6 playoff appearances
- 5 playoff series victories
Carlyle has proven he can win a series, more so than Mclellan

You know, I foolishly went over to HF today and looked in their playoff thread, and seeing Edmonton fans talking about the Flames being the worst team in the playoffs and pretenders. We're a dirty team of pretenders that are lucky to be in the shadow of all of the other playoff teams and we're just fodder for the Oilers and everyone else. then to add to it, my cousin who's an oiler fan sends me a text about how much the Oilers will cream the Flames. Ha Ha 4-0 and we have McDavid, we're awesome the Flames are terrible. Basically we'll be cup favorites from here on out as long as we have McDavid
Seriously F the Oilers and F their ridiculous fanbase.
I had an ounce of sympathy for those idiots for what they were going through over the last decade, but seriously they came out after one decent year with bigger egos and less of a sense of reality then a mentally deficient pelican. Admittedly part of the fun of the ENG thread was going in and having some fun cranking things up to 11, my posts in there were almost a character that I could play in that thread. But now the best thing happened, the playoffs are about hating your rivals, and its on like donkey king baby.
So screw them, I want the Oilers in round one badly. I want to see the Flames gut those posers so we can see them lying on the ice bleeding to death. I want to see guys like Principe and Remenda sobbing into the microphone as the Flames clean their freaking clocks. I want to hear the Flames to win on Oilers home ice so they can tell their fans to get the F out of the building so they can melt the ice.
Screw those guys, I hate the Ducks, but man Oiler fans don't deserve to have their franchise have any success.
Get the Oilers, bounce them out of the playoffs, and watch their franchise implode.

I'd like to start with that I refuse to support any kind of spot picking. We're not the Calgary Bieksa's. I like how we finished out by making sure our guys were ready to go while still giving the team a shot to win the remaining games we had. Chicago, Anaheim or whoever. We are ready.
However, given the choice of a matchup against Anaheim or Edmonton. It's the dirty Oilers everyday of the week for me and anyone saying otherwise should just hand their jerseys in. It's our most hated rival riding their hottest season in over a decade. I would cherish the day in my heart forever that we destroyed the hopes of furthering the quest of the Stanley cup for that absolute embarrasment of an organization. Along with that meaning them finishing higher in the standings and acquiring a lesser player at the draft to fawn over and ruin in the upcoming years. Bring on the BOA it's what this province needs.

C of Red. Not C of red with specks of poopy copper.
STHs are generally quite bad for selling their tix to opposing fans like in my section. Let's hope they keep their own come playoff time if BoA happens.

If it does happen, I hope Calgarians show some class and not engage in violence or rioting. Wasnt there some pretty bad acts of sexual harassment last time? I recall stories of women not feeling safe.

Of course they're not. They probably want to play the Flames so badly.

The fans in Edmonton were great to me when I went to a game last year. Most of them are just regular hockey fans cheering on their hometown team.
The Oiler fans that are from Calgary are scum. The most arrogant and obnoxious people I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to.

This!
We can handle taking a loss and will come back even stronger next year. They'll implode and their city will be burnt to the ground.
And let's be honest, the team the oilers played when they swept us this season is no where near the team we have been in the past couple months. They're a team made up of two or three parts. One of them go down, they're done.
I'll take this all day.

I welcome whichever team we get.
But given a preference, there is no question that it is the Oilers.
1) BOA - 'nuff said
2) The Oilers are the weakest playoff team in the west. No depth, mediocre D, and a complete lack of playoff experience

I'd say the Predators, Blues, and Sharks are weaker than the Oilers. I might say the Flames too but they have more experience so I'd give the slight edge to Calgary in a playoff series.
The Oilers are far from elite, but they're not the weakest team in the west.
