Joe Scarborough @JoeNBC BREAKING: A high ranking administration official says foreign countries from Arab states to Canada supported tonight's strikes vs. Syria.

MORE: "The response from foreign leaders has been overwhelmingly positive," a top administration official just told me.
Crazy that it takes 50 cruise missiles. How big was the air base?
I assume it's the base at these coordinates (per map search): 34.494555,36.900736
Not very sophisticated looking, but I count roughly 25 individual (fortified?) hangars distributed all around the runway in a configuration I assume is designed for rapid scrambling. Presumably those, in addition to the runway, would be targeted.
I shouldn't be happy to see a military strike that could lead to a much larger problem, but watching the Trump cult right now is just too good. Probably running about 50/50 of those still ready to drink the Flavor Aid and those who feel totally betrayed. Naturally they are fighting each other, making it even more enjoyable.

There goes between 50 and 60 million USD, its crazy how we talk about cutting all these tiny programs like PBS, the arts endowments, etc... Yet the military is the yuuuuugest of yuge spending programs.
Is it that crazy? It's the military industrial complex that drives a large amount of the economy. Both parties play into this game. You need "villains" to justify selling weapons contracts that tax payers fund. The less the government has oversight over, the better off the people will be.

Good government is never a problem, I think the problem comes with Government and Industry becoming intertwined. When you turn into a corporatocracy where Foreign military policy is directed towards increasing corporate profits that is when problem happens.
The simple idea that less Government equals a better civic experience is a little oversimplified.

The US had radar and heat signatures from the jets that dropped the chemical weapons. I'm curious if the Russians warned the Syrians allowing them to scramble their jets and fly them to safety

That's why all this American Imperialism has to end. The budget is so inflated and having bases all over the world isn't good. Amp up the military in war time if needed. When you got a hammer everything looks like a nail.

I know it's a somber moment, but I still can't take the guy seriously when he's making a speech like he did tonight. It's almost like he's having trouble reading off the teleprompter at times.

Question that I'm semi afraid too ask. Big time non-supporter of Trump here i'd like to start with that. However something that's baffled me is why is it such an unpopular opinion to be anti-illegal immigrant? I think the wall is absolutely ridiculous but if I were an American I would have a big issue with people just waltzing in and burdening tax payers. Can someone explain why it's such a no-no apparently to have an issue with that that?

except there's plenty of illegals that have jobs and pay taxes just like other americans... labeling them rapists and killers was just populist rhetoric...
how do you reconcile all the falsehoods and completely contradictory positions he takes on all sorts of issues?
"Drain the Swamp?" Really? Anyone that looks at the things he's done in office knows that was sloganeering that, somehow, less than half the american population bought
