Defence as usual. No confirmation of Goaltender .. although Johnson. In starters position. No confirmation however

I'd take 4-2.
But it's also my birthday, turning 37. So Flames win 7-3?

Disappointed that Johnson gets the start. Had a chance earlier in the year in Anaheim. Elliott never given that opportunity yet.

Don't mind this decision if that's the route we go. Either we win and Johnson gets the monkey off his back as well as this teams decade long losing streak in this building. Or if we lose then it was with our back up who's been shaky anyways and doesn't have the same deflating effect going into the playoffs of the ducks dominating us when we are at our bests. Give us that "what if" clause mentally if we lose that the outcome could of been different with Elliot. Losing with Elliot in net would be such a buzz kill knowing the Ducks walked all over us to end the season.

Another game where Rasmus sits, not even trying to paint Bart as the whipping boy but he's made more than enough mistakes to warrant being sat. What's the point of having Rasmus here when he could be playing in Stockton? As for Johnson, hopefully he doesn't look as terrible as his last 2 starts, ducks gonna be going glove high all night.

It is not my birthday so I'll go with 9-1 Flames. Chiasson, Stone and Stajan with hatties and the lone Duck goal scored when Selanne banked one in off Perry's ####-eating grin.

There's a value to being around NHLers, practicing with them, seeing their habits, the way they train, learning to defend against guys like Gaudreau and Tkachuk in practice. It's hard to measure but I think with Rasmus they're trying to give him a taste of the NHL in order that he works hard this summer on his much publicized fitness issues. If he is hungrier to succeed and this leads to greater discipline for him this summer in terms of nutrition and fitness then the recall was a big success I'd say.
You may not consider this a plus but Andersson not being in Stockton means more ice time for guys like Kylington, Mattson, Wotherspoon, Healey, etc.

A crow flew in front of my car this morning and I nicked it. Not sure if it died.
In any case, I'm pretending it was a duck and this was a sacrifice to the hockey gods that will ultimately end the curse.

Hmmm. Interesting. Well wouldn't breaking the curse be a wonderful achievement for hometown boy Chad. Don't forget a good part of the reason we are in the playoffs is because of the yeoman work Chad Johnson did earlier in the season. We are behind you pal.
