- I want the curse in Anaheim to end
- But I would rather the Oilers didn't win the division and the Ducks winning helps prevent that
- At the same I would rather the Flames play the Oilers/Hawks than the Ducks so I don't mind dropping to 8th
- But I hate when we lose and I want the Flames to go into the playoffs on a bit of a win streak if they could string 3 together
In the end....GO FLAMES GO!!!! Hate stupid Kesler and his stupid face.
Yea right. Prepare for another game where everything goes right for the Ducks and just the right time and everything goes wrong for the Flames at just the wrong time.

Doesn't the first statement kind of imply the other?
The Flames need to up their game in the wrist slashing and cross-checking categories to the same level as the Ducks, or they will continue to get pushed around by them and the curse will continue.
Flames won't beat the Ducks trying to play Ducks style hockey. They've tried countless times before and it never works out. Only way the Flames win this game is to utilize their speed, out-skate them and play their own style. Get in quick on the forecheck and make life miserable for their D. If we try to match them in slashing and dirty shenanigans, it won't end well. We're still not big or mean enough for that kind of game.

The Flames had been owned for several years by the Edmonton Oilers, could not beat them on the ice if they tried. that night rookie Gary Suter led the charge with 6 assists, en route to a 9-3 blowout win. This gave the team the necessary confidence they needed to dispatch of the Oilers in the 2nd round of the 1986 playoffs
ergo Flames win 9-3 Tkachuk with 6 assists

If we're going to be analagous here, shouldn't it be a rookie defenseman Rasmus Andersson getting the 6 assists?

I was at the Victoria Pavilion for Stampede Wrestling that night, and I can remember hearing the noise from the Saddledome.
